I think this would be an interesting trade basis....Sacaramento  needs to fix their ball movement issues. There won't be a starting caliber PG in this draft imo (teague won't help what they need anyway) and they can't attract a lick's worth of FA's. Trade is the way for them to improve like us, and they won't move  DMC at this point.

Tyreke Evans has struggled for the past year and a half but you can't ignore that great 20/6/6 rookie season at only 20 years old. The sky is the limit for him. He's got big potential on defense with his massive wingspan to defend 3 positions and you know Doc can teach anyone how to D up. a long range jumper is all he needs to be a 20+ efficient scorer and a star in this league.

His value is on the low so we can probably sneak in a little extra

My 2 ideas

1)Rajon Rondo Greg Stiemsma and Sasha Palvocic (roster spot) for JJ Hickson, Tyreke Evans, and Jimmer Ferdette
2) Rajon Rondo,Sasha Palvocic, and LAC's first round draft pick for John Salmons and Tyreke Evans

1)Boston gets  a couple more young guys that can turn into something solid along with Tyreke. Hickson was someone the Celtics pursued last year iirc. Jimmer would get crazy love in Boston lol. Boston clears a little more cap for next year as well.

2)The one i would prefer, taking on Salmons deal is a big plus for Sacramento. We could probably get away with keeping our first if we make the playoffs because SAC owes Cleveland a non-lotto 1st round pick this year. Puts us is the top 6-7 in the draft with the chance to move up in the top 4 if needed

Either way, I think Tyreke Evans still has the potential to be better than Rondo, I'm not a fan of dealing Rajon but this one, along with  Steph Curry are 2 deals I'd be interested in

  • Rondo = Good
1 has no chance of happening.

2 is conceivable.  Rondo definitely fits with DMC (their franchise player, if they know anything) better than Tyreke.

I should say, to preempt those who would be quick to think ill of my opinions -- Rondo is a much better player than Tyreke right now, and I'm not sure by any means that Tyreke will ever be better.

I know Danny has had a high opinion of Tyreke in the past, though, so I could see this happening, perhaps.  I think Tyreke's rookie season gives hope, at least, that he could turn things around and become a very good player instead of just a solid one.

The Kings would have to throw in at least Hickson if not Jason Thompson to make it a fair trade, though.  Or else just not include Salmons in the deal.

That would be a complete rip-off. Nope.
When you lose, the easy part is to see who gives up. Giving up is very simple. You basically take your stuff and walk away. To continue to work and to continue to compete is one of the most difficult things, especially when you really don't have anything - KG

Why not? Jason Jones tweeted Kings are looking to move Tyreke for a veteran to put them over. Only other target I can see is Danny Granger. Rajon Rondo fixes their ball movement problems and utilize Cousins into a 20/10 scorer

Rondo is better no doubt. But Tyreke can lead a team with the right pieces around him. He can be a top scorer IMO

Stop the nonsense please! The ONLY way this makes ANY sense for the Celtics is if you believe the rumours that the Celtics are desperate to dump Rondo.

I do not believe it so all these trades of an all star for a maybe in the future player is not going to happen.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Ideally (and I say ideally because this couls only happen in fantasy land), I'd see if I could grab Tyreke without giving up Rondo. I think Tyreke should be playing 2-guard next to a strong PG. Rondo + Evans could be a dynamic duo for yrs to come.
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

Neither can shoot
Sending pierce and our good pick might land us Tyreke with salmons, they need someone to put butts in the seats to keep them in sac

I can ignore the 20/6/6 because he had complete freedom to dominate the ball on bad team and play big minutes.  Evans isn't half the player that Rondo is.

If we make this trade the team gets worse which means fans will stop caring, we'll stop getting media attention, and ticket prices will lower. That way the real fans (read: broke and loyal) will get to see more games. Then when everyone stops caring, we can BRING BACK GERALD! Possibly even get Pittsnogle on the bench without anyone noticing.

I like it!

Rondo for Evans is a god awful idea. Rondo is a three time all star with a ring... Evans is...(crickets)...

Rondo for Tyreke. Why would we do this??? This is just bad. I'd rather really have Isaiah Thomas as my point than Tyreke (not saying I'll trade Rondo for him).

2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

why would you have to put him at point guard? he's a 2.

How about explaining why this is bad instead of just saying bullEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.. Do you even know who Evans is?

And are people really saying Tyreke and Harrison Barnes to Rondo is trash? Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.

This is the 1st time Harrison Barnes was mentioned, and he's still in college. The bottom line is you need to add Gerald Green and Kevin Pittsnogle to sweeten the pot.
