I give it two games before people turn on Rondo again. Try and sign his headband to a long term deal and ship him out for Chris Duhon.

This was a huge, huge win. That was a playoff atmosphere.

Blame Dwight for wanting to play with D-Will instead of Rondo.. Crazy

The win was huge. The part where Rondo gave Baron Davis wide open shots in order to freelance around for his 10th rebound was annoying.

Gotta take the good with the bad I guess.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Win or Lose it was a team effort.

Not 1 individual you can really single out.

I lied we won in large part due to Rondo and his 18 point, 20 assist and 17 rebound performance. He gave us everything we needed. That's 20 of our 29 assists and 17 of our 42 rebounds just for perspective.

According to basketball-reference.com, players with 10 rebounds and 20 assists in a game (points-rebounds-assists), sorted by rebounds

Magic Johnson in 1991 playoffs 16-11-20
Jamaal Tinsley 2001, 19-11-23
Rajon Rondo in 2011 playoffs 15-11-20
Rajon Rondo 2011, 12-10-23
Rajon Rondo 2010, 10-10-24
Magic Johnson, 1099, 8-10-23

Rondo breaks his tie with Magic Johnson for most 10 rebound, 20 assist games and now has the most rebounds for a player with 20 assists in a game.  Three of his 10-20 games have come against the Knicks.

Great win again another mediocre team! This win just also proves that to even compete with the elite - LA and MIA, we need another legit 7 footer. Maybe someone like DeAndre Jordon. Please Danny no more 4's PLEASEEEE!!!!!
(Michael Beasley or Josh Smith) WE NEED REAL HEIGHT!!!!!

Truth played huge defense down the stretch on Melo, and that tres to put it into OT ... sweet stuff!

Rondo's RBs and ASTs made up for his horrible shooting ... imagine what his stat line would've been if he'd made those layups?

Great win ... and shutdown Linsanity.

Go Celts!

Tanguay just told Felger he sucks ... I LOVE it!!!

I' be surprised if some guys still did not want to trade Rondo.  Some guys just hate him.   But it was a great performance even though he missed some bunnies.  PP had some nice shots.

MIA has no legit seven footer.   I doubt we can get DeAndre.   I would settle for O'Neal and the Clips pick for Beasley.   Smith for Ray Allen and see who gets cut.  We need real height but where are you going to get it?

I thought Rondo defended Lin better than Bradley.  Lin is human and looked human today.

Wow.. Rondo and Kidd the only two who has ever had a 15/15/15 trip dub.. Great company!
Maybe the only G or PG, but this certainly isn't true universally. In the playoffs alone there are at least two other guys who have gone for triple 15: Wilt Chamberlain had 16/30/19 in 1967 against the Cincinnati Royals, and Fat Lever had 19/16/18 for the Nuggets against the Jazz.

National broadcasters produce so much nonsense it's not even fun.

When have playoff performances ever been lumped in with regular season records? Regular season and playoffs are kept separated.

It's flat out incredible that Rondo can play like this . . . especially considering he can't buy a basket at the rim or at the free throw line.

It's been said many times, but if Rondo ever improves substantially as a shooter, he could be downright scary.

If Rondo could make his jumpshots and free throws consistenly it wouldn't be fair to the rest of the league.  He'd be the best player in the game.

This would've been a fantastic game ... IF ILP DIDN'T CRASH EVERY 30 SECONDS IN OT !!!!

Oh well  .. I'll take the win nonetheless  :D ;D :D
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.
