JO + Dooling + Clipper's first for Wes Johnson + Beasley?

The guy does have potential but has been underwhelming so far. Now that they're running Adelman's system, I don't think he's developing with the Wolves.

Reckon they'd do it? Milicic can be attained instead of Wes Johnson if we throw in Quisey...But if we're giving up JO + money (cap space from what I gather) for Beasley...then we'd be trading a first for Darko.

A first for Darko just doesn't sit right with me. At least Wes Johnson has some potential.

Hot [dang] wish we could have Beasley already.

They wouldn't do that.

Wes Johnson's shooting has been disappointing this season. If he can't hit the 3 consistently, he's a player with little interest.  And he's already close to 25 years old.

Don't give up a 1st for Beasley on the last year of his contract.

Don't give up a 1st for a bust.

I feel like we have no reason to get Beasley unless we trade Pierce this year...

I think Jeff Green will resign next year with the C's at a slight discount.

See I do disagree with this, Beasley isn't exactly a bust. Very underwhelming and unworthy of his draft position, those statements I agree with. However, he is still very young and could have a pretty solid career still. I would roll the dice on the possible 27th pick in the draft for him. This is the same board that has members who believe that G-Money who just won the D-League All Star MVP could be a good player still. So writing Beasley off I think is a little premature.

Johnson is the bust.

Beasley is the FA they want to give away.

I've been quite disappointed with Wes Johnson's play over the last few weeks. I expected his play to see a good improvement once he received more time at small forward and got used to playing there ... but there has been little change in his comfort level out there on the court so far.

Not ready to write him off yet but it's certainly been disappointing and worrying.

I think we could absolutely use Beasley this year.  Most people may not realize this, but Beasley is 6-10.  Though his style of play is more molded at the 3, he could easily come in and play multiple positions.

I'd definitely give the Clippers pick for it. I think people keep forgetting that the LA pick will be further down than Boston's.

Not necessarily true.  If both teams make the playoffs, but Boston advances further, LAC's pick would be better.

Basically, teams that get eliminated in the 1st round pick higher than those that make it to the 2nd round (regardless of regular season record).  Teams eliminated in the 2nd round pick higher than those that make it to the conferene finals and so on.

If we do trade a pick to Minny for Beasley, it would be wise to stipulate it will be the lower of our two picks (whichever pick that may be).

...not to mention that this year's draft is utter crap.

Are you nuts? It's all by the final regular season standings. The playoffs don't play a role in draft positioning whatsoever!

I would give the Clips 1st + JO's expiring contract for Beasley. I think it's a good trade - honestly, that pick is gonna be in the 23-27 range and I doubt whatever player we get there will have the same upside and potential impact as Beasley.

with that said, I  don't think I've seen any reports of what the C's offered for him or what Minny asked for. We're all just speculating.
