On another note, early in the week, the first time they discussed Dwayne Wade’s braking of Kobe Bryant’s nose in the All Star Game, Stephan A. Smith went on and on about how Dwayne Wade would never play dirty against anyone. The next day Skip Bayless said Celtics fans via Twitter reminded him that in the playoffs, Wade pulled down Rondo and dislocated his arm.

I know other people don't, but I love Skip Bayless.

I know other people don't, but I love Skip Bayless.

Can't say I "love" him, but he is definitely better than Stephen A. Smith.

Smith is the biggest idiot I've ever seen. If you can make Skip seem sane, you know you're beyond crazy.

On topic though, I think ESPN is just trying to cover their tracks in this particular situation.  One of their guys (Broussard), put out some absurdly unfounded rumors that were quickly shot down, so now all the other ESPN blowhards are rushing to his defense.

I don't normally put too much stock into anything Ainge says, but, in this instance it seems they (Doc & Danny) are telling the truth.  Why is it so hard to beleive Ainge is not making calls, but is also willing to at least listen if he recieves a call?  That's called doing you due diligence.  Who knows, maybe it could be dopey Otis on the other end willing to trade Howard straight up for Rondo and filler.  You have to at least listen.  But no way do I believe Ainge "WANTS" to trade Rondo.  I am amazed at how few people seem incapable of undestanding the subtle difference.

And just for the record, I absolutely despise Ainge, and feel sick defending him.  ESPN is the biggest peddler of gossip there currently is.  They make E! News look like amatuers.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I'm not linking the article, I'm linking the video in which Bayliss and the guys state he will be gone by March, and if not by then, he'll be moved in the off season.

Where did I say anything about an article?
Did you even watch the video?

duuurrrrpppp
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Ainge may be sending smoke screens, but Doc is telling truth about their relationship.
Both say Rondo can't stand losing, or in other words, he won't be able to handle a rebuild and they will have to unload him sooner rather than later.
So they are basically protecting his value as much as possible for a soon to be trade.(summer or March).
Makes enough sense to me.

So you're hoping that we can trade him for someone who enjoys losing? Interesting.

I don't know if this is directed at me ?
I don't think I stated anywhere in my original post what my opinion was on the matter.
I found a video that I felt would be interesting to Celtics fans.
So far I've been flamed for posting a link that had an article and video attached to it because people are presumptuous or lazy.
Now it appears I'm being flamed for something that Skip Bayliss said on ESPN as if it's my own opinion.

Just to clarify, I do not want Rondo traded- I just felt this was interesting to Celtics fans.

Is the March deadline making people snappy/angry/emotional?

Sorry, I suppose. When you summarized what was said and followed that with "makes sense to me" it's easy to come to the conclusion that you agree with what was said.

No problem then.
I just said what they stated makes sense. Doesn't mean I want it to happen.
