  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
http://espn.go.com/boston/nba/story/_/id/7634903/doc-rivers-confident-rajon-rondo-remain-boston-celtics

Ainge may be sending smoke screens, but Doc is telling truth about their relationship.
Both say Rondo can't stand losing, or in other words, he won't be able to handle a rebuild and they will have to unload him sooner rather than later.
So they are basically protecting his value as much as possible for a soon to be trade.(summer or March).
Makes enough sense to me.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

WOJ(who is probably the rumor guy I respect the most)
http://greenstreet.weei.com/sports/boston/basketball/celtics/2012/03/02/adrian-wojnarowski-on-dc-dont-see-rondo-deal-happening/

was on WEEI today...he said he doesnt see Rondo being moved at all and hasnt heard any rumors of such. he said that the Celtics would move rondo ONLY for superstar talent such as chris paul, deron williams..

since they arent getting that return he sees rondo staying here..he predicts we see no big moves on the celtics front

I dont understand either, what NBA players are supposed to like losing?

Wojo and Doc and Ainge and MacMullen have all reported or been quoted as saying Rondo is staying. So of course let's put the tea leaves on the table and read them while looking through a crystal ball. Doc said Rondo doesn't like losing and since we will be losing a lot soon that means he's getting traded.

This is whacked.

Does it matter? You have a better chance at the truth coming from Tanguay's gut

Celticsblog forums are like crack, once you get started, you come back to 'em even if you take a break!

Who needs accurate links.  We are just like the modern day media, throw something up with headlines!  Doesn't matter if it sticks, by the time its done,,,they'll have you believe that Rondo requested a trade out of Boston! lol

And that's why I gave up even looking at the re-opened current events forum here for Lent.

Haha, I already thought RR was on the line with all the GMs around the league, seeing what he could get for himself (all of them except Mia and LA, he's no turncoat he just wants a job)!!! LOL
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

So you're hoping that we can trade him for someone who enjoys losing? Interesting.

Those are the best kinds of people to build your team around. Let's gut the team for Blatche, McGee and Young and see if the me-first approach works in rebuilding. :D

Did y'all seriously think Ainge and Doc would say, "Yeah, we're dumping him?

It's posturing.

Rondo's not going to be given away, nor should he be.

But proclaiming today's bloviating by the media as conclusive proof that he won't be moved is nothing more than wishful thinking by the Rondo Posse.

Means nothing.

What's the saying?

"Fool me once - shame on you."

"Fool me twice - shame on me."

After the Broussard and "Unnamed Sources" debacle, I will not believe ANYTHING until I see it.

Great game, Rondo - vs one of the best PGs out there.

ESPN hates rondo for some reason. In terms of point guards, its all about westbrook and CP3 for ESPN.
