Is if this happens...

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=8yw8bv7

kg, bass and a first to the hawks for smith, marvin williams, and heinrich

If the celts are serious about getting smith it would have to be something like this. The hawks arent stupid enough to get rid of smith for just a 35 year old kg.

and hey, it increases the hawks wins by 4. haha ;)

I don't believe the Hawks could afford that deal, they have not given up on either of those players. just for a first round pick and Bass with a player option next year,

maybe but I've heard that williams really isn't playing that well and then there's heinrich but they do have teague. idk I'm just speculating to find a way this trade would actually work wit kg. for all we know they want smith for rondo haha...

Why does ATL do this deal???

Doesn't make sense a KG-for-Smith swap no matter who else is involved. I would say both players have similar ability right now...ATL is playing well, this won't put them over the top for a title run.

I see this making more sense and making both teams a little better:

Ray/Bass for Smith/Stackhouse

It would have to be Atlanta having an interest in dumping salary to pursue someone in free agency.

Otherwise, don't see much reason to do it.

I'd throw in our second round pick with that.

KG is this team's center for the rest of the year. Therefore the trade that makes the most sense is relieving Atlanta of salary.

JO, Bass and 2 picks, the Clippers pick and a 2013 top 10 protected pick

for Smith.

Honestly don't see this getting dome but its the only thing I would bring to the Hawks

We can't trade KG , he is our make shift center,  here we are again getting bitten by the Perk trade and having no decent center.

We got to draft like 4 centers this year.
