Danny ainge "rondo is Celtics best player"

I'd say KG is our best player. 

And yet he didn't make the All-Star team; not that I disagree with his effect on defense and all and his offensive contributions the last 3 games, especially in the post where he's uncomfortable.

I'd say KG is our best player. 

KG has undoubtedly been the best player here since the Bird era and he is now their one indispensable guy.  (As constituted they can do okay without either Rondo or Pierce in the lineup, but neither with them both out nor without KG out.) Of late KG has also rounded into more consistent All-Star-level form than either of the team's two "All-Stars".

Exactly.  If he is our best player, as inconsistent as he is, the Celtics are in trouble and need fixing quick.

Unfortunately there is no quick fix here. This will take years and possibly a 100% overhaul here. In 2017, the only players on the Celtics that are playing here in 2012 may be Avery Bradley, JuJaun Johnson, and Greg Stiesma. The best option is to let the season play out and then blow the team up and not spend 50 million dollars on marginel role players. Use the Belichick system of hard working players for cap friendly deals. Don't get emotionally attached to anyone. Find team players willing to play for the UNIFORM instead of their next contract.

I think KG is the best player and is the guy that saved Doc's job. Rondo probably sees a side of PP that I have suspicioned for years.

Exactly. Those who take today's comments as "Rondo is off the market" are engaging in wishful thinking.

Ainge isn't going to give Rondo away. But if Pau or Deron can be had, Rondo's history.

  Neither of those trades are a given. Supposedly the Lakers want the Pau for Rondo deal, the fact that Rondo's still here takes some credibility away from your proclamation. Deron would probably have to agree to extend his contract before Danny would pull the trigger.

Boushard was on TV few minutes ago.  Both Bayless experts seem to think Rondo is not maybe patient enought to rebuild around , he wants to win too bad and becomes moody or out of sorts when the C's aren't winning. They said Rondo isn't the type of player you rebuild around.  

Both predicted DA, is shopping Rondo , and may not be consulting Doc on this totally.   Both seemed to to predict Rondo will be traded in the off season.

I 'm not buying into all this . But, yet its being tossed around in the media.

I do think for ROndo to be happy, DA is going to have to find FA of the Calibre to run and make Celtics competitive .

Oh ..well all very confusing to me..
