we'd also take back Hedu & Duhon's bag-o-crap contracts to entice Orlando.

Honestly, don't think ORL gets a better deal than:
- 20M in immeadiate cap savings (KG's exp. deal)
- young, All Star caliber player
- mid-range 1st rnd pick in a loaded draft

and they'd have the side benefit of still being good enough this year to sell some playoff tickets.

For us; give the keys to a 2nd year defense-first PG and go compete for a title.

If Dwight is going to be picky about the extension (ie: hold up a trade) then this could be as good as it gets for ORL.

While Bynum may have more value than Rondo, Brook Lopez sure doesn't...

whatcha think, am I crazy?

You're crazy, that's not nearly enough plus the salaries don't match up either.  Yes I do believe they will get a better deal.  Remember they asked for Pau and Bynum at one time.  With the plan to possibly trade Pau for Martin and Scola, plus a pick. Why would they ever trade Howard for that little?  Basically they would be trading him for Rondo and a middle 1st round pick and you think that's the best they will get?

okay, I may be crazy but I do know that:
1- the salaries actually match.
KG/Rondo = 31M and DH/Hedu/Duhon = 32M

2- i remember them asking for Pau and Bynum, but also remember LA declining.

Assuming that package is off the table, and DH is going to veto extensions on any mid-small market team (like GS); it's either Brook Lopez, Bynum, or Rondo as the centerpiece to a realistic deal.  The Bulls & Mavs can't offer that kind of talent.

Wondering out loud who besides us can offer an All Star, 20M in cap space & a solid 1st rounder?

Why would Orlando do that?

What are the best rumored deals that Orlando have been offered?

Bynum, Blake, and 2 1sts?

Lopez, Humphries, and 2 1sts?

In this case we give a 3 time All Star who has not had a major injury. 21 million in cap relief. And they get out of Hedo's contract. Not saying that this is the best they can get but it isn't any worse than what else they have been offered.

Many other teams can do it the question is who would be dumb enough too since most believe Howard is either going to sign with Dallas or NJ/Brooklyn.  IMO you don't touch Howard unless he will sign an extension and he won't with us.... As far as other trades, How about Houston who can offer Martin (a former All Star, Scola a young big signed relatively cheap and a #1 plus more if they really want)?

How about Dallas who could offer Odom, Kidd, Marion, a #1  and  more to make salaries match?

I'm still hold in on to the guess that DH becomes a free agent.  The owner is TRULEY running the show when it come to D12...and I don't think the old guy is gonna take a trade...if and when D12 leaves he'll do it as free agent .  The owner can afford to let him walk * more money than god) and really doesn't car about rebuilding for 10 years down the road, he probally an't gonna be here.

Orlando says "see ya, wouldn't want to be ya."
