I get Rondo's flaws. But some of them really arent as bad as people make them out to be. Some of it is old habits.

But him for Pau, yes having a great big that can shoot and pass would be nice, but how do we feel about Bradely( who has improved, but still needs to grow more) or Dooling, that has just looked lost to run the team. That trade would be for a Championship run, and I just don't see that being the KEY trade for that to happen.

The way the NBA is going its going back to the old school style of the run and gun. Rondo is at his best in the fast break. Some of the passes he pulls of I only have seen Kidd and Nash do, and some of them even they would say DANG!

Look how good Green looked last year when he ran and Rondo hit him. KG in 08, and Wilcox now. The C's need guys that will run with him and in front and not trail(Ray and PP). Or can't get up the Floor(JO).

So instead up trading for an other big, they need to get players that will play his stlye of ball, kinda much to ask him to be a half court PG if thats not his game.

OR you trade him, but for young, not thirty some thing talent, and should be an other PG, Williams would be the next best thing, but thats not going to happen.

If you're committed to rebuilding, it doesn't matter what position you trade him for.

If the reports are correct, Ainge and Doc have finally realized there's no possible way this team is a title contender. That spells blowing up the roster, to me at least.

Allen off the books and KG off the books at the end of the year. That opens up two more positions you'll need.

PG, SG, PF, C...Doesn't really matter. Trade Rondo for any of those positions.

It doesn't have to be a point guard at all.

I'd take Pau Gasol and not think twice .

as a gesture of good will...because its the Lakers (and toss in Dooling  ;D)  as freebee
