With recent discussion about some of these players in earlier posts, just wondering which guy fans on this forum would like to see most.

Obviously, most decisions would depend on what we would have to give up, but in this case everything being equal, who would you rather have wearing Celtics green moving forward?

Humphries.  He doesn't have the coaching issues or locker room issues other have.

Humphries, Beasley, and then Blatche (but only if the Wiz throw in their 2012 lottery pick unprotected....which will never happen).

  • Rondo = Good
Humphries is the best and most valuable player of the three by far.

I am not sure why Humphries is lumped in here.  Blatche and Beasley are guys with character questions, and are known as selfish stat hounds, which makes them incredibly cheap for their level of production.  Humphries is a blue collar player whose stats are a bit bloated by the players around him, but has legitimate value in this league.  Teams were afraid to give him a big contract after his breakout last year, but that doesn't mean NJ couldn't get legit value for him.

Blatche is a turd.  An absolute turd.  He sucks.  He's a stat-stuffer on a horrible team.  11 PER.  Doesn't play D.  Doesn't care.  He's a joke.

Kris Humphries is in just of a 'bad situation' as Blatche, yet he gives great effort every night, and averages a double double.  He also has more of a defined position than Blatche.  Humphries has an 18 PER to Blatche's freakin' 11.  Humphries is a guy I'd look at in the off-season as well, especially if we are rebuilding.  He could be used as a chip + other assets to acquire a star down the road.  You could probably sign him to a David West type deal too.  Blatche, you are on the hook for until 2015.

Beasley is a poor man's Rodney Rogers.  And if you are a poor man's Rodney Rogers, you aren't that good.

I don't know why this is even a question.

Bcuz, they have been brought up in recent posts, are all PFs, and have different games/character traits.  Talent vs Blue Chip vs headcase, etc.

I don't know why this is even a question.

Bcuz unlike you and I, clearly, not everyone wants Humphries.

Fair enough, I didn't see that thread.  But, I would argue that the C's would not be able to get Humphries without giving up a LOT.  He would be a key part of a Howard trade, both as an expiring contract, and as a valuable player, and if that falls through, they will have a lot of bidders for him.  That won't be the case for Beasley and Blatche.

Don't know if he's gettable, but I'm doing the Humpty dance on this one.
