chris anderson, has had off the court issue but very productive when he plays

chuck hayes, not working out in sac, could be possibly had for cheap me thinks

http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2769/amir-johnson

amir johnson productive young big, pretty sure an expiring won't be enough, neither may an expiring + 1st round pick

kris humphries, the real reason the perkins trade sucked we should have been able to an get exception after trading perkins this offseason, and then use it to trade for humphries, instead of using of lower exception to sign chris wilcox.

Anyways danny might be lucky and expiring and late 1st round pick might be enough to get him from jersey.

BTw you could probably sign 2 of these guys plus keep rondo and probably save money from acquiring pau gasol.

I think that the type of player, both cost-wise and talent wise that we pursue will be determined by Danny and ownerships decision to retool on the fly (I think their current preference),go all-in for this year or blow it up.

That decision will be the driving force in determining what kind of big (if any) we invest in.

I would not trade Jermaine O'Neal straight up for Chuck Hayes.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I really wanted Kosta Koufos. The man is producing solid in Denver on limited minutes. Still young and developing. Problem is he's slow and not very intimidating defensively. But the dude is active on the boards and is efficient shooting around the paint.

I don't know what it will take to pry him out of Denver as he's playing really solid. But I wanted him playing for our C's, he one of those dudes where he's willing to do those little things (screens, rebounds, be physical) and can be productive at it.

Averaging around 5 rebounds on 15 minutes of play. Shooting 57%. This is the big man I want.

Not an expiring deal though.  ;D But c'mon, 3 years 9 million dollars, that's cheap.

Amir Johnson's my favorite of the names listed.  Excellent fit for this team's needs: great offensive rebounder (one of the league's best), good offensive garbage man and a mobile, versatile team defender.

Sort of like a healthy Leon Powe with better size and less scoring ability.

I'd propose a 3-team deal with Toronto and Houston, sending JO to Houston for Thabeet (Houston could use a veteran back-up center), with Thabeet and one of our picks going to Toronto and Amir Johnson and Jamaal Magloire coming to Boston.
