Say we get Deron, say we get Dwight. In this case Deron is a better scorer than Rondo. We got a team where Bass is 4, we have no two as Bradley will be second unit's PG, and we got Pierce. That's our first team.
Dwight has his off nights, when he gets dominated by lesser centers. And if he's so great, he can carry the Magic team by himself further than he normally does. The only logical way to build around Dwight is to get shooters, which is what Orlando did. They have better shooters than we ever will. Pierce, Allen, Pietrus. That's all we got, while Orlando has like 10 3 point specialists. However, Dwight isn't really a Superman, he only shoots 55% from the field. Great addition to our rebounding subgroup which consists of exactly 0 players, but he won't get 40 points a game.
Deron Williams, however, might. He's a shooter, he can drive, he can find Dwight very well, make great pick and roll/pop with him. But he's as inconsistent as ever. On a team where Bradley would have 30+ points a night, he can't find a rhythm. Oh, and we count on Dwight striking fear into our opponents to ease up on Deron so that his fragile body doesn't get injured. Yeah, that's like telling LA "We got a better coach, start hailing us". This is only assuming he is a better scorer than Rondo. I am not the only one to think that Rondo would fit better with Dwight, and if he's got a player below the rim who can catch his misses, he'll shoot. A lot. Which still doesn't mean we can get over 100 points a night.
Pierce is uninterested. I stated this over and over and over again. He plays the playoffs and doesn't give much [dang] if he hits or misses in regular season until the season comes to line (as you will be able to witness in a few weeks

)
Bass is inconsistent. We have all witnessed that. His shot doesn't always fall, and it's starting to fall so rarely... Pick and pop or pick and roll with him and Dwight is impossible, they two take half the court's width standing next to each other.
As for SG... There aren't shooters in the league. I've had a cute conversation on some European NBA fans' forum about shooters in the league and we found that the only shooters remaining are Ray and Kobe. There aren't good shooting guards in the league right now, they're all inconsistent and pretty much useless. So whoever we get for that position will be just as... useless. And no, Monta Ellis needs the ball 45 minutes a game to score 20. Nothankyou.
So what about the bench? People don't like us that much, players like us even less. We can't get that good players for the bench that can carry us to 100 points a night.
To sum it up, Dwight would have one or two 35+pts nights, Rondo/Deron would do it twice or thrice, Pierce would be uninterested and the rest of the team doesn't really matter, the bench never mattered that much in Boston. I don't see it. I don't see a championship with Dwight.
