Don't see how playing with a 38 year old Nash motivates Howard to sign an extension with Orlando.

Could they trade assests and contracts for Nash to make a run this season and then let him expire and have enough cash to make a free agent run at Dwill? Any possibility?
They would have to let Anderson go (or trade him) and then also probably have to move Hedo or Davis, but that would get them close.

1)  Gives him a better shot to win this year.

2)  Might give them cap space to bring in one star in the off-season.

Before the Magic signed Davis and J. Richardson, I actually created a thread in which I intimated that Orlando might be a sleeper team in free agency.  At the time they hadn't amnestied Arenas (which they have since done).  They only would have needed to move one other large contract to get enough space.  Of course that was before Davis and J. Richardson and before Anderson started playing so well.  I still think they could be a player if they could unload a bad contract (maybe trade Anderson and require that team to take Hedo, or something like that), but it is much more difficult now.

Well, this would be a perfect fit for los Nash.  Howard is good enough to erase a lot of opposing PGs penetrations as los Nash watches them go by him.  Howard would average 25+ppg with los Nash distributing.

It'd be like Iverson the year he made the Finals.

It'd also be bandaid among bandaids that Smith has tried to do to humor Howard.  A 38 year old PG isn't going to keep Howard around.

A deep playoff run would be a great parting gift for Howard.

Nash to the Magic would NEVER IN CAPITAL LETTERS HAPPEN. I happen to work for the Suns (security for players) & Nash despises J-Rich! Richardson slept with his wife & it led to them splitting. May also be the father of Nash ex's child, Barbosa is the other culprit & this scandal is why Both Barbosa & J-Rich was traded. Btw the baby arrived very dark in pigment. So the Suns would respect Nash enough not to trade him there of all the places in the World unless J-Rich would be packaged to a 3rd team.
