add to trade Pietrus going to Dallas after march 1st

As Bill Simmons stated Mark Cuban wants in on getting D Williams and Dwight but needs to move marion and odom to do so. If they are willing to give up Beabois and there first (likely late 1st) then I think every one does this.

Cs get  Odom, L Barbosa, and Dallas 1st

Dallas gets KG + Pietrus

Toronto gets S Marion + Beabois

The catch would be toronto's willingness to take on Marion's contract. Beabois my intrigue them enough to take on the contract. In terms of them winning games it would make for a good trade. There starting lineup would be
A johnson,Bargnani,Marion,Deroza, and Calderon

The Cs do this if they dont think they will be players for Howard, they gain odom who would play along side pierce till both there contracts run out and another draft pick this year. If the Cs also do my previously posted Rondo and JO to utah trade for D Harris and Kanter + pick, and my Ray to clippers for pieces and Bledsoe then are lineup for the second half of this season would be this...

C  Kanter,Wilcox,Steimsma
PF Odom, Bass,JJJ
SF Paul, M Daniels
SG Barbosa,Avery,Foye,Moore
PG D Harris, Bledsoe, Avery

then come draft time we have 3 or 4 picks..using two of them we move up to draft A Rivers. Us the left over 1st on a big. After the draft and FA we would have the following

C  Kanter,Steimsma, (Rookie)
PF Odom, JJJ, (Rookie? D Green)
SF Paul, J Green (FA)
SG Rivers,Avery,Moore
PG D Harris, Bledsoe, Avery

a deep team with a nice mix of vets and youth

In an ideal situation after the vets contracts run up. We have the following lineup and $$ to add an allstar to the rotation.

C Kanter (2012 rookie)
PF JJJ
SF Green
SG Rivers, Avery
PG Bledsoe, Avery

Dallas doesn't have a first round pick.

Toronto doesn't make that trade.  They aren't going to take on that much future salary just to land Beaubois.  Perhaps if Amir Johnson was included rather than Barbosa, of course why would Boston them make that trade.

Frankly I'd almost do Odom, Marion, and Beaubois for Garnett.  I'd probably ask for Mahinmi as well.  Adds a bunch of salary next year, but I don't think Boston is a player in the free agent market anyway.  Of course Boston could always absorb some contracts from Dallas this summer by using the cap space and just pick up a piece anyway and thus wouldn't need to make the trade now.

I didn't relies dallas traded away there 2012 first, however it could be a 2013 first and the trade still works for me. Toronto may be willing to do this trade because they have never been a free agent destination so the prospect of attracting big FA isn't likely. Wilson Chandler may prove to be the FA exception but time will tell.

With little hope for FA signings Toronto would likely be willing to give up cap flexibility for a still productive Marion and a high potential European player in Beabuios.

with the rumors of calderon possibly going to Orlando in a LA orlando deal.

Something like this

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=745flmo

The celtics and dallas could then do the trade that i've posted. Beabois would fall into some of calderons minutes and if he plays well Toronto would be a better and deeper team then they are now.

The Cs would manage to get a first for KG after missing out on the D Howard FA summer.

Yeah not a fan of trading Kg for that. I'd rather have his bird rights.

Due to the Stepien rule, the Mavs can't trade their 2013 first round pick until after the 2012 draft.  (They can trade their 2014 pick, though.)

There is no way the Jazz trade Kanter, it's not going to happen.  Plus they aren't trading away a #1 in this deep draft for just Rondo and since we don't have alot more to give up with value...

I don't see Dallas giving up their #1 either...

I didn't think the jazz would want to give up kanter either, however if you read on any jazz fan site they seem really high on rondo. With Favors there and Milsap being around the same age as rondo, it would make sense. I could see why they wouldn't include an unprotected 1st in this years draft in a kanter deal, but could see them including Harris + kanter and a heavily protected future pick for rondo

Dallas would give up beabous and a first for a great shot at D Will and D Howard. KG + Pietrus isnt a drop in production from Odom and Marion. This deal actually helps dallas this year and next year.

One change could be replacing the dallas future 1st with Ian Mahinmi, I dont think dallas will be able to resign him if they get both max FAs so they might be willing to put him in the trade if they can find a vet FA big to fill his space on the bench. Then the Cs would have a nice young big man rotation already in place with Kanter (20), Mahinmi (25) JJJ (23) and posibly Steimsma (26)
