Los Angeles Lakers

PG - Jordan Farmar, Leandro Barbosa, Will Bynum
SG - Kobe Bryant, DeShawn Stevenson
SF - Thabo Sefolosha, Corey Maggette, Rasual Butler
PF - Pau Gasol, Taj Gibson, Vladamir Radmanovic
C  - Omer Asik, Ronny Turiaf

A defensive nightmare for opponents.

Kobe and Pau will be relied on for a lot of scoring, I feel. There will be some contributions from the bench, but the Fake Lakers (Fakers?) will still need a combined 45 points a night from the two big guns. Still, considering opponents will have a hard time breaking 90, this team should win its fair share of games.

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
P.G. Raymon Felton / Jameer Nelson
S.G. Stephen Jackson / Delonte West / Allen Iverson
S.F. Paul Pierce / Ron Artest
P.F. Kevin Garnett / Tyrus Thomas / Eduardo Najera
C. Anderson Varejao / Joe Pryzbila / Shelden Williams

I'd like to see you cash in some of that depth for an upgrade. Even if it was an upgrade at the backup. Some of those guys will be underutilized.

I hear you.. Its the problem of sick depth
but Its fun how people say I will collapse without Varejao and didnt see I have 4 other players that can play as Center
with more than decent results

p.s. people isnt trading stars that much this days

The Choose Two Portland TrailBlazers.

PG Lou Williams, Jerryd Bayless
SG Wes Matthews, Imam Shumpert, Manny Harris
SF Gerald Wallace, Anthony Parker, Austin Daye
PF LaMarcus Aldridge, Trevor Booker, Tristan Thompson
C Elton Brand, Amir Johnson
Why play Trevor Booker ahead of Tristan Thompson?

Booker's ready. Thompson has all the upside but he's raw. Still, should either he or Daye emerge, I'm comfortable with moving one or both up in the rotation.

I'm also not opposed to playing Thompson some minutes at the 4 alongside Aldridge at the 5, given that he may be my best per minute rebounder.

I think this is going to be a fun team to watch even without the 3 guys that give you zero this year. I have you as a top ten team with complete health, any injury to any of the remaining 10 and I think you'll drop significantly.

OK, my turn to go under the microscope.   I ask that any feedback please take a look at the roster as is and would also appreciate any feedback on how the team would look to you if I hadn't swapped Noah for Mcgee to move my picks scheduled for today.

2012 Draft 2 Chicago Bulls:
PG: Derrick Rose/ Eric Maynor;
SG: Evan Turner/ Jimmer Fredette/ E'Twaun Moore
SF:  Lamar Odom/ Omri Casspi
PF: Jason Thompson/ JJ Hickson/ Al-Farouq Aminu
C: Javale Mcgee/ Aaron Gray/ Jon Leuer

a brief explanation of the team: knowing I couldn't do better than the current Bulls, I tried to build a team that would be better in a couple of years and have a good 6-7 year run at the title.  With the exception of Odom, I have a very young roster that stands to improve for several years to come.  Rose and Turner will make a really solid starting backcourt.  Maynor, JImmer and Moor will be a solid bench rotation in the backcourt.

The frontcourt is loaded with athletic youth that has talent and should continue to improve.  Maybe no cornerstones for a franchise (Mcgee and possibly Aminu could get to all-star level at some point).  My weakness as I see it is a lack of depth at SF but I could address that by moving a PF or drafting one in the coming drafts.

Ok -- let me have it.

Gotta get a SF better than Caspri, move Lamar to the bench. Really hate that you traded Noah for McGee

There's no doubt that your team would be fun to watch.  Lots of athletic guys who should run a fast break style of play.

My biggest issue is that outside of Evan Turner, you haven't surrounded your young MVP with any really elite talent (and even Turner is having significant growing pains).  McGee is a talented but flawed player; really, the same can be said of the rest of the roster.

I felt that at first, you were trying to build a solid playoff team, drafting guys like Odom and Delonte, and then I got the feeling that you decided to head in another direction.  I would have liked to see you continue to build a win now roster based around Rose, Turner, and Noah.

For now, I think you'll have a rough go of it, although eventually I think that Turner and Rose will be a very dynamic back court.  (And yes, you shouldn't have made the McGee deal, but that's water under the bridge.)

I like the style of team you built around Kobe and Pau.  It seemed as though you took the position that if you couldn't realistically acquire a third gun for the Lakers (e.g., Bynum) then you were going to play a strong defensive style, and try to win almost on Kobe's and Pau's contributions alone.  I think that style wins you a lot of games, because you're going to severely limit most teams you play, while they'll have a hard time containing your top-two.

I think your team's playoff fate will be determined by whether you get consistent offense from Maggette and Barbosa.  If so, you've got a chance to contend.  If not, your team could be a first or second round out.

I welcome the challenge but unfortunately I think this is going to be my only CB Draft, I start work in July and I know that they block posting on any site. Extreme compliance and such :( So it'll be a short-lived rivalry

... unless you invest in a smart phone!

I suppose if you're going to go out, it's bet to leave on a high note.  You've built a really nice team.

Gracias. I'll do the Pick 2 but I can't do the press conferences and all that for the other one, most likely. I could co-GM.
