I don't think you have enough scoring Edgar.  I think you will in the same spot as the current celts. Very good defensively probably top 2.  I just don't know if you have the guys you need to put the ball in the basket.

He does have much better rebounding, which should lead to more opportunities.

Well Delonte can attack and shoot better than bradle and Moore
Varejao can rebound and create pull ups every momment hes under the basket and he has some kind of touch
Artest will win a LOT of matchups that PP isnt winning
And Jackson will rebound over Ray without hurting THAT much the scoring
Ty Thomas can attack the basket
and Both Jammer and Felton have better shot that Rondo and never hesitate to attack
To be honest with all the pain in my soul this team IS better than the current celtics and I think the margin is bigger than we thought

Maybe but Jammer isnt as good at running the fast break as rondo.

Not that the celtics are running tha much this days

Delonte is fast enough to lead a Fast break
And he will run maybe with Pierce Ty Thomas and some anchor like artest or varejao

Will be fine

Yeah but you're going to need to wait a full year to get Delonte, won't you?

Since the Draft Board and the General Discussion thread got merged into one, we're starting a new thread for discussion of individual teams, team needs, etc.

I'll start with Redz' team:

PG - Brandon Knight / Jarrett Jack
SG - Gerald Henderson / Gary Neal
SF - Grant Hill / Francisco Garcia / Jan Vesely
PF - Greg Monroe / Channing Frye / DJ White
C  - DeMarcus Cousins / Larry Sanders

Thoughts?  What did people think of the Jimmer for Neal (and Leuer for White) trade?  What positions should be targeted in the 10th and 11th?
I like Gary Neal as a player much better than Jimmer. I would start Jack on this team and do what I could to limit Cousins and Monroe being on the court too much together until at least one of them can develop a reliable 15-18 foot jumper.

Overall I think they have a brighter future than the NBA Pistons but then again this team doesn't have Charlie V so they would have been better with Greg Monroe and 12 D-League All-Stars

well theres no timetable, but its only a Finger and I know Delonte will play in pain for me, and Felton can run too.

Pick 2 Miami Heat:
PG:Nash
SG: Wade
SF:Granger
PF: Favors
C: Gortat

Bench: Haslem. Mozgov. Livingston. The Jones Brothers James and Dahntay. Ben Wallace.

Gave my opinion on this team in the now defunct Discussion Thread but to summarize, I think this is one of the best teams in this Draft but think that Favors isn't close to being ready for starting minutes and might be years away from reaching the potential he occasionally flashes. I would worry about Nash's defense against teams with fast PGs or a set of big tall guards.

Well i'll put me up there too:

PG) Lowry
Sg) Rush
Sf) prince
PF) Millsap
C) Howard

Key bench Ridnour, k Thompson, c brewer, p patterson

3 picks tomm

I plan on playing rush and Thompson about 20 mins a piece on the 2, and giving ridnour some time there as well.
You have since traded Patterson for Chris Andersen which is a significant upgrade. Kudos

I'm really not crazy about the SG rotation or Ridnour as I think he is having a bad year but overall with the Andersen addition you probably have the best big man rotation in the league which puts you up there with the Heat as the best of the teams in the Draft.

You know hwat, let me finally throw my team on the ole choppin block

Jennings / Barea
P. George /
W. Chandler / Pietrus
D. Williams / Villanueva/ Maxiell
T Chandler/ Biyombo

I think we can give teams fits. It's not just a strong defense, but a really, really fast one and I absolutely love the length we have on the wings. As good as the 6ers are in getting into transition through their defense, I think this team could be even better.

Offensively, at least at this point, I think we kinda come and go with Brandon Jennings. Chandler's a strong scorer, P. George is a good shooter but inconsistent when it comes to creating his own offense and Derrick Williams is... weird... offensively. I like Jennings a lot, and would be interested to see how he'd perform with a lot more firepower around him, but I have some concerns about him being really the only creator on this team.

In the future I feel strong about this team, even if some of the younger players fall somewhere between where they are and their potential I think there's enough here that we could be a serious competitor 2 to 3 years down the line.

The only big on your entire roster I like is Chandler. Williams is struggling and not sure what he is, Biyombo is sooooo raw and bad offensively its ridiculous, Maxiell is so over rated in my book and then there's Charlie V. Yikes!!!

I love the rest of your team but as people have been want to point out with our team, Chandler isn't here yet and that has to be a big problem. when you have a started slotted that is still in China.

I accidently deleted my really long and nice speel about my team, so I'll just ask, "What do you think this team needs to be a real title contender (assuming that you guys don't agree with me when I say this team rocks)?  What should I have done differently?"

PG: Russell Westbrook
SG: Vince Carter
SF: Chase Buddinger
PF: Shawn Marion
C: Tiago Splitter
Bench: Mo Williams(PG/SG), Willie Green(SG), Dorell Wright(SG/SF/PF), Gustavo Ayon(PF), Chris Anderson(C), Lavoy Allen (PF/C)

As much as people give you crap about Mo Williams, he is having a great season. He and Westbrook are excellent pieces. I would move Marion to SF and start Ayon. The Patterson/Andersen trade was a step back.

I think you are stuck between two worlds. Trying to build for the future with young talent and being a team trying to compete. Decide which way you want to go and commit to it.

Unfortunately, I have to say I like the NBA Jazz better.

So Start Orien, you are saying that your best offensive weapon was the 6th man on a team that didnt make the Fake CB finals over the summer?

Grant Hill just doesn't fit.

I think this team could be really good in the future.
