I don't think what Rondo did deserves a 2-game suspension.  He deserved the ejection from the game, but not a suspension.  This is idiotic.  I swear you could get a suspension for just giving someone a mean look these days.  That said, poor judgement by Rondo either way.  We don't need him ejected or suspended from any more games.

I hate Stern right now.
Seriously its the kids birthday Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline..
Whatever.. I understand what Rondo did, I wouldnt have acted any other way actually. Instead of throwing the ball at the ref I would have kicked the ball ala Tracy McGrady.
This sucks!

Just another nail in the "Rondo can be a leader" coffin, though.

And if he shows no emotion, he's uninterested and doesn't care right?

Maybe he should do the patented Paul Pierce palms-up-ThatsAFoul?face move next time.

Showing emotion so you get thrown out of a game doesn't make you a leader -- or else Rasheed Wallace would have been an amazing leader.

what! Wait...you mean Sheed wasn't one of the all time great leaders! I have him up there right after Antone Walker and Dino Radja.

  • You say when......
On that play Rondo got fouled and flat out layed out.....I'd rather be the ref in that one...he just got the ball bounced off of him a bit....no call....with all that goes on...the kicked out of the rest of THAT game was sufficient.....this NBA..is crazy..the refs are out of control......it already is crazy that they actually have DIFFERENT rules / calls for rookies and so called vets or allstars.....who runs this league....who said they can just do that...?

Paul pierce was ejected from a playoff game aginst miami...is the captain not a leader? You need to drop that phony "I like rondo seriosly" banner because you are really reaching here to disparagehim

Not a big deal, we wouldn't have won those games anyway.

This was Rondo's first ejection in his career. Not a good move, but he is smarter than that and he should learn from it. It does imo not say much about his abilities as a leader.

Btw Gerald Wallace threw a ball at a ref (although only his feet) on Saturday; no ejection, no suspension.

maybe Rondo hit the ref in the nuts with his throw, you never know. Also, with Wallace's passing skills, the ref may have thought it was unintentional

Welp that settles that… barring some major shock, the Celtics will finish the next two games with a massive O-fer against all contenders they have faced this season. We’ve lost to the Heat, Bulls (with Rose), Mavs, Thunder, Lakers… and now very likely another couple losses against the Mavs and Thunder.  0-7 against any team worth their salt.

We are who we think we are… not a contender. Blow it up.

Its pouring ladies and gentlemen. At this point Celtics are better off in the lottery The Anthony Davis Jackpot.
Nope, u do kno Davis is the projected number 1 pick rite?
He's referring to the 1% chance of getting the number one pick for a team low in the lottery. (IE teams that are 8-14th in the league record wise)

That's how Chicago ended up with Derrick Rose despite not being that bad of a team the year they drafted him.

1% at Davis is better than the 0% chance we have of winning the title without a center.

Eh there really isn't anything left to blow up. Everyone who isn't Rondo/Pierce/young guys is gone next year. That's blowing it up right there.

I'm sure Danny will look to trade Ray/KG/Pierce for pieces but I doubt he'll get offers high enough for him to bite. This is assuming ownership lets him trade Pierce.

hard to blame Rondo, I was watching the game and I was REALLY p---ED OFF, like really, how is that NOT a foul...

I think the suspension is a bit rough but the refs are horrible
