Are you kidding me? 40 points off turnovers.

No excuse for that.  Just a complete and utter lack of focus / effort.

Performances like this one bring into question Doc's ability to keep this team in check.  I think Doc is greatly overrated, at least as a regular season coach (developing young players and keeping veterans interested).

If I was Rondo I'd feel the same way.

"Oh the team played better without you."

"Oh, you need to stop scoring so much at such an efficient level, be a facilitator."

Well, he did that, and had 8 assists and only 4 shots tonight before the ejection.. And we were getting rolled by the Pistons.

Sooo If the team is so much better without Rondo.. Why did they get run out of the gym when he left..? Why weren't we winning when he wasn't shooting...?

You don't really think Rondo reads this message board, do you?

Furthermore, he had 6 turnovers tonight.  Regardless of whether he's setting up teammates or being aggressive, he's a consistent TO factory.

24 turnovers. This team just doesn't care.

Where is everyone who was preaching patience earlier in the season?  Now the season is almost halfway over the easiest part of the schedule is behind the Celtics   :-X

Unless Rondo got more stats after his ejection it was 10 assists and 1-6 shooting.  Also a terrible 6 TO's...

ESPN was slow to update his box score I guess.. Even so, he's not the reason the team is losing.

Lin is averaging a million TOs a game, and people are praising him. Rondo had 3 combined TOs against Chicago and Detroit (first meeting), our last 2 games before tonight. Yeah, a real turn over machine.

Those people (who I am one of them) thought the Celtics would be better than 15-15 right now.

Is that actually something that could happen?

Steam...and let me tell you...shot blocking is NOT easy.....Steam still not getting ANY paint passes...! He can finish.......

Doc really hates our boy!!!
and i really hate Doc.
ok, maybe not hate, just not impressed with his coaching skills.

A lot of people thought KC Jones and Bill Fitch were below average coaches too. They both won championships because they had were coaching Larry Bird and gang.

Isn't it crazy how coaches need good players to win!?
Nobody was ****ing about Rivers' coaching job in 2008,09, or even 10 when we made the finals..

Now, with a bunch of old stiffs, we are losing, and Doc gets some blame. lol.

I don't think Doc has had muck luck, record wise, coaching young players. I think Danny and Co. knew this when they offered him a new deal. That is why I assume we won't rebuild with the draft. We'll see Danny trade picks and players for new pieces.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Rondo 1-6 with 6 TOs against the porous Detroit defense.

How can people scoff at the notion that he's incredibly inconsistent?

How can a player capable of awe-inspiring triple doubles put in performances like this one.

The way he vacillates between superstar and borderline-starter level role player is maddening.

If that's the plan, I'm going to give up on this team.  If Danny trades picks and players for new pieces, I'm just going to straight up stop following the team.

That's what bad GMs do who are desperate to keep a team relevant when it's become time to rebuild.  Bad teams make moves like that.  Nothing but a prolonged period of mediocrity can come from trying to stave off rebuilding by trying to reload on the fly.

This team is playing without any heart or focus. Terrible team performance, and nobody to blame for it, just each and every guy on the team.

I hope Doc rests the old guys and gives Sasha, Moore and JaJuan some burn.

I see no big changes coming, nobody wants our HOF vets, so I doubt Danny finds a trade. Steamer, Sasha and Quisy could be traded for 2nd round picks or maybe JO/Dooling are traded for TPEs.

Good night, and Go Celtics!

Best part of the night was the 2002 flashback when we beat the Lakers on 'Toine's 3 pointer.  I remember that game vividly.

Doc needs to shake things up to make the Celtics snap out of their lethargy. What is going on over there? Wes Welker drops a pass and suddenly no body from Boston is capable of playing? The Bruins had another bad loss and they could be heading down the tubes. The Celtics may simply not have the talent anymore and a lot of the players may be on their way out of Boston.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
