no way i am trading rondo for al and harris and hayward, thanks but no thanks.
if am trading rondo i want favors or kanter simple.
No way does Utah part with Kanter or Favors. They are their future. Jefferson is in their way and is not part of their future.
All I know is that we could use 75% of Big Al's 18.5ppg, 9.25 rpg, 2.4 apg and 1.62 blocks per game.
In addition, both Jefferson and Harris expire in '13. That gives us huge cap flexibility both this year with KG/Ray expiring and next with BigAl/Harris expiring.
It keeps us competitive this year and next and for the future.
Harris, I feel, is a key component to this trade, or any we have with Utah. As I have stated in the OP, Utah has all the things we can use as assets: youngs, unneeded (Al, since they want Favors/Kanter to get more time) or unwanted {DHarris) vets who can stll produce, so are undervalued by them and picks.
Harris is lightning quick and can still play by both driving and dishing and can shoot. He is not performing in Utah (He is a career 80% freethrow shooter and for the first 20 games or so was shooting 68%). We would be buying low on him.
If we throw Pierce in the deal, if we use JO to get Beasley, I can see us getting ALJeff and Harris as well as at least one if not both of their first rounders this year as well as either Hayward or Burks.
Our cap flexibility remains huge for two consecutive years with KG/Ray expiring this year and AlJeff and Harris expiring next year.
I am amazed at how many people cite rebounding and scoring as reasons to get Gasol when Al can do both almost equally as well and we get a pg in Harris thrown in too. Harris would surprise a lot of people here with how well he can play.
Utah does this to get the point guard of now and the future whom they need badly and instant contender status with the combination of Pierce and Rondo with their young studs.
