Well... At least we still haven't given up 100 points since the second game? :P

Rondo played great. PP and Ray were useless.

Well, Rondo put up some numbers.  Not exactly the same thing. Sure wanst setting the table  like he can do.  And his D?  I smell a whiff of dysfunction here.

I'm not blaming anyone. This team just isn't that good.
The only Celtics in the building right now with anything resembling killer instinct is Bill Russell and Tommy

Pierce and Ray have been awful but do people get why rookies can't always be relied upon, especially if they aren't great natural defenders.

The rookies defense have been dismal all game.

I think JJJ and Steamer are great natural defenders. This system is just very difficult and may not be very effective if KG is not anchoring it.
You are kidding right.

I'm not talking defenders as in let's play one on one, wow, he's a great defender playing one guy. I mean great natural shutdown and team oriented defenders.

Stiemsma can block shots weak side but he gives up position down low and his rotations and pick and roll defense is awful.

Johnson is not strong enough down low nor is he the best one on one defender. Again he gets lost on rotations.

JJJ Big Ten defensive player of the year.

Steamer D-League defensive player of the year.

Like I said before, it's a tough defensive system to learn. And I'm not sure it works without KG.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Losing to the Raptors and Pistons in one week.

Blow this up. It isn't worth making the playoffs and losing in the first round. Get us a lotto pick. This is embarrassing.

It's not like we're missing our top 2 PFs or anything.

Lol...I don't care who we are missing. This team should never lose to the Pistons. Period.

Agreed.

That is why the trading should begin. This team is becoming dysfunctional

Please. Detroit is horrendous

It's still worth noting that KG and Bass are out. I'm not going to pass judgment on our team if its missing two of the best five players on the team.

Ben Gordon underachieves all year but then goes ham tonight smh unbelievable and we're not a better team when Rondo takes nearly 30 shots Pierce nd Ray were in a horrible rhythm cuz Rondo was overly aggressive

I look foward to this loss being somehow blamed on Rondo...

Allow me.

In short, I believe his offense has ran the team right out of rythm tonight.

All Rondo did tonight was make shots that he normally doesn't make. If he was taking those jump shots and they weren't falling we'd be having the same discussion as we normally are. He dribbled the ball on the shot clock down to 5/6 seconds every trip and didn't get Ray and Pierce in rythm.

Defensive end. Hasn't denied Stuckey the ball all night.

People complain he doesn't take wide open jumpshots he's allowed all game...he takes them (and makes them), and it's his fault the team is out of rhythm.

People complain he doesn't attack the basket enough, he is aggressive all night and now that's taking away shots from Pierce and Ray.

Whatever man, I'm resigned to the fact that people will blame all of the teams problems on Rondo no matter how he plays.

Yeah, he's making them tonight. He's also 0/3 on his jumpers in the 4th quarter now.

Where was he in the Lakers game down the stretch? Running the ball on offense down to 8 seconds on the shot clock with Kobe playing 10 ft off him clanking jumpers.

Show me you are consistent, and I'll back off.

And you have nothing to say about the efforts of Paul and Ray tonight? Rondo is the reason we lost? Really?

Give me a break.

What was EVERYONE's complaint after the Lakers game? Rondo's man plays 10ft off him, playing centerfield and denying Pierce getting to the hoop and Ray coming clean off of picks.

How is that ANY different tonight besides the fact that he was hitting his jumpshot which he consistently has never done.

get use to it, we are a 500 team, that means sometime we beat really good teams, and sometime we lose to terrible teams!

PP and RA need to somehow keep themselves involved when Rondo gets really hot.  I don't want to say they are sulking, but if your team mate is on fire, you gotta support that AND keep yourself in the game mentally. It seemed like PP /RA checked out mentally.  It didn't seem like there was 100% effort from them on either side of the ball tonight.

It really hurts the team D...

Rondo can never do anything right. Which is why the Lakers amongst many other teams are currently foaming at the mouth for him  ::)

Trade him. Go ahead. I would love to see what this team looks like when he's gone.

Gary T just uttered some of the scariest words in Celticsdom......Donny Marshall will try to explain it all after the break.

Time to change the channel. Oh. Now it's the Matt Damon ad. Now it's really time to change the channel. My male hormones feel a hundred years old. I'm gonna watch that Fiat Arbath commercial on youtube

No. I'm not going to get used to it. If we are a .500 team then it is time to trade everything. Period.

Yes...that was the only thing I wanted at the end. But a far cry from what I really wanted.

Let me reiterate.

Paul and Ray....SUCKED! (Can we get all our guys playing good at once?)

Rondo, for 3 quarters....Great! Last quarter.....Not so much.

I miss KG.

Bad loss. No matter how many decent things we might have seen. Bad loss.

Not enough team tonight...

Individual performances < Team Ball.
