Call Doc into his office.

Say "please sit down"

Tell him "If you don't start giving Bass and JJJ a lot more minutes over Jermaine O'Neal and you don't start giving Bradley a lot more minutes than Dooling, and you keep putting the ball in the hands of Rondo in the last few minutes of close games instead of guys that can make free throws you're fired. Other than that good job. It was nice talking to you"

Boom. All our problems solved for the foreseeable future. No trades necessary. I don't know why I was wracking my head about it

Haha.  There isn't a lot of leverage threatening to fire a coach on a lucrative long-term contract.  We can pay Doc to coach, or we can pay him to take a job with TNT while attending Duke games.

I can see the desire to get the younger guys more minutes -- I agree that it's important -- but those substitutions aren't going to solve our issues with rebounding, offensive execution, the vets (including Rondo) disappearing at times, etc.

I'M THE SILVERBACK GORILLA IN THIS MOTHER——— AND DON'T NONE OF YA'LL EVER FORGET IT!@ 34 minutes

Ok fine.  I got something better.

Doc walks in and notices Tommy Heinsohn there with a very large pot of coffee, jug of water, and a pee pot and says "Wait. What is this? What's going on"

Danny says "I'll see you in the morning Tommy". Leaves the room and locks the door hearing Doc screaming "I have a contract! You can't do this to me!!!!!!! Nooooooo!!!!!"

In the morning returns and says "So I guess Tommy said to play JJJ a little more and JON a lot less, right?  So what'll it be? Cause I can make this go on every night for months Doc"

I guarantee you would see change very fast.

I hate how much time Dooling is taking up now.  ;D

But otherwise valid points. Our discussions on here accomplish nothing. We need to get into danny's head and plant these ideas
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Having listened to Danny regularly on weei over the last few years, I think Danny's thinking regarding Doc's rotations is a lot more in line with Doc's than it is with a small group of very vocal dissenters on a local fan site.

Dear Doc,

When in doubt, when in need of advice or when you just don't know what to do anymore, please refer to this topic: http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?topic=25035.0

Thank you.

I only like Keyon Dooling for about 5 minutes a game

And this is why I strongly believe the combined basketball knowledge here exceeds them.

If JJJ start seeing significant minutes at Center, we're going to get abused inside more than we have been so far this year. JO might be a flawed player, but he's been providing pretty serviceable inside defense against opposing Centers. JJJ playing against Bynum would pick up 3 fouls in the first quarter.

I think he should put the ball in Rondo's hands on just about every possession of every close game and tell the team that they have until the playoffs roll around to get the kinks out of their late game play.

and who'd take him?  we got him for a 2nd rounder.  I don't think anyone would give us that much in return.

he's here for the year
