Trade:

Nets trade: Delfino + 7.15
Thunder trade: Reggie + 6.28
Who are the Nets planning on starting at small forward? Andrei Kirilenko, Thaddeus Young or Reggie Williams? I guess it's Thaddeus.

Hmm ... I don't really like that trade for NJ. I liked what Delfino brought to the table for them as a part time starter.

That 6.28 was used to draft Darrell Arthur, who's a nice addition to the Nets, I think.

Good trade for the Thunder.  I think Delfino is a much better player.

Agreed. I gave up the better player in the deal. Delfino doesn't really fit my team too well after adding Kirilenko. Needed another shooter plus some more front court depth with 6.28

He doesn't rebound well. Neither does Brook Lopez. That bothers me.

I do like Arthur though.

Also -- both Thaddeus Young and Andrei Kirilenko bring more to the table as an undersized PFs than Darrel Arthur offers.

Well, beauty in the eye of the beholder and all of that.  I think Delfino is quite a bit better at shooting than Williams has been this year, though, and I think both young and AK47 could have seen time at the 4.

I'd like commentary on my pick of Greivus Vasquez.

I hate you.

Am I on the enemies list now?

Yeah but...you're not talking AK-47 back here until next year, if at all. So you're basically playing Thad Young out of position (he spends less than a third of his playing time at the 3, and historically is a better 4), and making up the rest of your time with whomever you nab at 9.15 or Reggie Williams.

And Williams is a good player..but as a 3, he'll be a bit of a sieve. The guy is 6'3 without shoes on.

I like Vasquez. He's not an athletic player but he's smart and gets the job done as a back up.

Thanks. He's what I wanted a good second pg to run the offense, who can also score. The size (6ft6) helps too).

Lotta scoring potential if the other team doesn't wanna move.

That's still the plan. My PF rotation would probably look something like this Boozer-Young-Kirilenko/Arthur.

Reggie is shooting terrible so far this season but I still think he's a good shooter. I don't think you can just suddenly become a .250 outside shooter after 2 consecutive good shooting seasons.

Good point. I want a team that's versatile and has many options ala the 2012 Nuggets.

Reggie Williams is a good player in the sense that he's one of the top 500 or so players in the world, and made the NBA.

As an NBA player, though, he's not good.  He's a 39.8% shooter this season who doesn't add much in terms of rebounding, passing, or defense.  In fact, his defense is approaching "worst in the league" levels this year, ranking 374th in points allowed per possession.

That's not "good".  That's closer to rotten.
