I'd put Redick's defense more into the average category, rather than bad.  He hustles, which makes up a lot for his poor athleticism.

Oh, I agree 100%. He works very hard and is among the best, or most dedicated, at chasing his man through screens, and he knows his rotations.

Nash also works hard on the defensive end. It's just that neither has the foot speed or length to check a great scorer.

I speak from experience. I got hammered over the center pairing Rubio with Redick, and Rubio is a long 6'4" with quick hands.
