torn between a few option here: taking a pick for the future to develop with Rose.  I like a 6'7" SG.

Chicago takes Evan Turner
Surprised one of the teams vying for Team of the Future didn't nab Evan Turner earlier in the draft.
so was I.  thought heavily about grabbing Anthony Morrow instead as someone a little more established but I think Turner will have a higher ceiling.  Thought about Kaman too to pair with Noah but Turner was too good a building block to skip.

If this is for real, how did he slip under the radar for so long?  It boggles my mind.

It's a pretty solid team so far. Mo Williams and Kevin Martin provide explosive shooting and scoring ability. Paul Millsap is a very good starting PF and having an excellent season this year. Shawn Marion provides nice balance for the lineup as a whole with his strong defense on the wing and excellent rebounding (helps protect Kev Martin).

It's coming along nicely.

Funny, my three options today were Turner, Morrow and Kaman, but ultimately went with Anthony for the fit ... wasn't as sure about Chris' ability to run with what is becoming a very fast team. I like Turner for your team and Kaman for Lucky's, though, so those three worked out pretty well for us.

I think that how you fill out your center + your bench is gonna matter a lot. Millsap is having a great season though, and williams (when bein allowed to play) has been good as well. But, will they be as good as the current jazz?

I'll be interested to see what you do about that center spot - you've left the toughest position to fill until last, in my opinion.  Not many starting quality 5's left on the board.

Aside from that, I like what you've built here thus far.  The gunner mentalities of Williams and Martin on the outside means that you'll win some games that you shouldn't win, but also that you'll lose some games that you shouldn't lose.

After you pick your center, I'd like to see you target a slashing scorer for your sixth man.  In my opinion, somebody who can draw fouls and get you points at the line would mesh very well with the other pieces you've put in place here.

I am becoming more and more like THE Walker Wiggle in my old age:  less diplomatic, and more biting.  It's only a game, but...

I don't think Mo Williams + Kevin Martin is a good backcourt at all.  Both are very poor defenders; according to Synergy Sports, Williams is 249th in points allowed per possession, and Martin is 274th.  That's terrible, and I think the Jazz are going to get killed there.  Offensively, both Williams and Martin tend to be chuckers, which as mentioned above, is going to result in some hot games, and some very cold games.

I do like Marion, though, and Millsap as well.  It's a good start to a front court, but I don't think it's going to be possible to remedy the back court situation.

Third pick in every round.

Thoughts on what I've put together so far?

PF/C: Favors.

I take back everything I said about Pat Riley. Building a team around these two is hard.

I like Gordon and Batum a lot, and Randolph and Okafor make a very solid frontcourt.  Injuries might end up costing you, and by the time Batum and Gordon really start hitting their primes, Randolph and okafor will probably have lost a step, but this could be a very competetive team with the right point guard and a few servicable back-ups to tide you over until Randolph and Gordon come back.

Wonder, is this game winning hoop the night that we stop waiting for the other shoe to drop?
