I'd say trade him for a 1st round pick. It'll be great if we can trade for a higher but I'd rather invest in this draft. 3 draft picks in rebuilding won't hurt aren't they?

My hope is that we can get these players if ever this case happen:

- Michael Kidd (His projection is too high but he can get slide on lower pick)or any potential PG
- An athletic SG who can score at will
- A center who can be an enforcer under the paint

I don't really like the idea of trading Rondo, but if he can't fix his problems, Danny will probably do something for him.

Its not just about the rebuilding. We all saw in the Lakers game how we desperately need a starting caliber big in the middle. In my opinion, with a starting caliber center we'd be contending (and Gortat is a top 10 center right now I think).

In the offseason, we'd have Gortat (a big man, a valued commodity), a pick and cap space. Hell, Nash might even come back for another round.

I think this is the most feasible and sensible trade by far.

Don't get me wrong though, I really love Rondo and I think he is very close to becoming a Chris Paul but if we continue to spiral like this, we'd waste the last year of 3 hall of famers (then we might as well trade them instead of Rondo).

Maybe the frustration of some players realizing that the run is over and that this team has no immediate future  is going to motivate certain players to want to be traded to a team with an immediate future. Rondo may be one of those guys. I assume Pierce is not one of them; but Rondo....I wouldnt bet against him wanting to go to a better team. There has been so many rumors lately of him being traded for this or that, he's ego may feel hurt. It can happen......

I don't think they will trade for Rondo unless Nash is out of the team. I'm not high on Gortat because I have a feeling that he may end up like Ben Gordon on Piston. That said, I'm not against getting him if the price is right.

How do you mean? Do you mean they won't trade Nash, Gortat and picks for Rondo (and maybe some assets)?

Gortat is a productive center though. He's worth more than Gordon even if that's the case.

Tweaking this team for a run at a championship is out of the question. we should put the hold team on the block except for Paul Pierce Rondo for highest first round pick and a player with Potential. The same could be done with Allen and Garnett as well. Do not take on long term over paid contracted players no matter. Get picks and potentials keep Bass, Wilcox and Petruis for veteran presence for next season. I would also, trade Pierce if it became his desire not to go through a rebuilding process. All of this could happen between March 1 and March 15 By that time we should know where we stand this year as a contender or pretender for a championship team. my bet is we will be closer to the lottery than to a championship on March 15th. I will not

If you want to get rid of Rondo We need to get a three way deal going to get rid of him for a scoring PG and a rebounder/defender. Thats the key. I think this team would really strive with someone like a Monta Ellis.. The guy is going for 22ppg and 6Apg. I will say Rondo's effort really ticked me off last night. After I made a post about people forgetting what he has done, last nights performance looked like he could care less...

not all teams are like lakers which can dominate the middle, besides, we had a fairly good game, despite most people's analysis that we lacked the presence of a "big"..we almost got them...among other things, it was our predictable offensive sets that gave the ballgame away,very true they had an advantage on their length, rebounded more, even blocked ray's crucial putback, but that's not the whole game's complexion...if we have created better sets, executed more and ran more, then we won't be talking about this right now..NEWS FLASH...they won't be even making the finals this year, you can bet on it..so why worry about them?
