KG....trade him..please

And Pierce...he bricked so many shots at the end. Ray and Pietrus missed a bunch of 3s, trade them. Rondo disappeared, and Bass barely played in the 4th, probably because he's terrible.

trade him because we aren't bringing him back next year. get something out of him now.

But I'm saying we should trade everyone now, before the rest of the league realizes how bad they are. I mean, we're clearly not even going to make the playoffs this year.

  • Rondo = Good
Seriously, did Rondo do ANYTHING at all at the end of that game / overtime?

You wonder why people question his ability to be a franchise player.

C'mon man...Rondo isn't the ONLY reason BOS lost.

We know you don't like Rondo. Your Sig says it without you posting.

Place some blame on our Bigs not boxing out, too...

Greenfaith, I do like Rondo.  Seriously.  I love what he does, most of the time, for the first 3 quarters.  What I can't stand is how he disappears in the 4th quarter in close games.  He has so much talent, so many tools at his disposal, yet he turns back into "role player Rondo" at the end of close games, especially against tough opponents.  He defers to the Big 3 and stops making big plays or running the offense.  It's maddening because I know he's capable of more.

Agreed, mostly.

While I do place equal blame on our Bigs, it was frustrating for me to watch Kobe lay off of him.

Rondo needs to have the confidence to take that J.

He was taking J's earlier, though, and they simply weren't falling.  He needs to be able to drive inside and either try to finish at the rim (and make a layup or get fouled) or kick it out to a shooter.

since he's a non-shooter, if he's just going to run around out there, bringing the ball up the floor and passing it along when he gets it, he's nothing but a liability.  might as well put E'Twaun out there.

I'm not going to talk about RR right now (although him not being able to shoot fts or otherwise at the end is a HUGE problem)... all our biggest problem stems from center!! I thought Cox was playing good D and giving effort on offense yet Doc refused to play him over Jo, it's heartbreaking really!! If we can't get a big body (who can do better than 0pts) I would LOVE it!!!No way can you play with 2 ppl who can't sniff at giving you points in crunch time!!! Did JO have ANY pts tonight? I mean I understand Gasol and Bynum having their way inside b/c we got one big (KG) but for you not to offset some of their points at all (JO) then we can't win!!! Yea, the game was a extremely close one but give me a few pts from inside and we win easily!! 5fts?? Your Center should at least shoot 4fts a game alone, (that's only 2 trips to the line)!!! People say JO isn't bad, well DUH!! No one is saying he can't give a team a little bit off the bench but he hurts us so bad!!! You can't get absolutely mauled on defense and not produce ANYTHING on offense! I'm so mad that we have no center it hurts me to my heart!! What championship team has a starting Center (basically only one since Doc wont play cox enough) can only give you average play of 15 mins a night??? No, I'm not hating on JO because he didn't sign himself but whoever thought he was the key, leaves their door unlocked every night!!!! Then you get an exhausted KG trying to play both positions and wonder why he is too tired to hit shots!!!

Rant over...

Let's get the next W!!! GO CELTICS!!!

Disappointing end to the game, but you are going to lose some close games.  It isn't the end of the season.  I think that it is obvious that KG and JO's legs are shot at the end of this game.  No legs / no hops is a big reason for the rebounding woes.  Those boards are obviously the difference in the game.  We were playing great D though.  The intensity was there.  If Kobe has to make a ton of incredibly difficult fall away jumpers the D has done their job.

I say we need to crank up Wilcox's minutes and get him more integrated into the rotation.  He is athletic and can jump.  He just needs to be motivated.  We just aren't going to win any of these close games with KG playing 36 min and JO playing 33. The guys are just too old to play those minutes.  PP as well, he played 48min?? sheesh.

I agree that I would have liked to see more Wilcox / Bass in overtime.

Another big issue was that we were too intimidated to take the ball to the hoop during crunch time in this game.  I don't know if it is intimidation from Pau/Bynum or what?  Rondo can't take the foot off the pedal when it counts.  Make a strong drive to the hoop and make one of their bigs stop you, and then look for the open man.  We got to stay true to the basics of good basketball to beat the good teams.

Bass was limited because of Gasol and Bynum's size; but he should have abused Troy Murphy. Wilcox was playing good D. Doc's rotations continue to be in denial of the obvious fact that KG and JO can only play limited minutes.

I wasn't going to say anything more about RR but...

How can he do any of that when he is TERRIFIED of being fouled? I never even know he is out there at the end of games!!! I'm being real there, no sarcasm... he is never visible 4th Q or last 5-7mins of the 4th!!

I'm the last one to suggest trades here, but unless BOS can change their offense somehow I fear a trade will occur here near the deadline.

This is just me speculating as a fan., though.

My guess is that it won't involve the Big Three, either. :(

Part of this is just frustration, of course, so don't mind me.

5 free throws the entire game.  How is that even possible for an NBA game that lasts 53 minutes?
Oh please don't dare blame that on the refs, ourselves are the only ones to blame we didn't drive to the rim AT ALL and we're a soft jump shooting team

It was just disgusting

Doc Rivers makes $ 7-mill a year and can't draw up a better side-out play than those two ?????????????????????????

not sure why i'm even calling them plays - they weren't - toss it to Pierce, make some efforts at some limp-dick ball screens and then watch him attempt two impossible shots.
