Is Amir Johnson attainable?

Would you trade JO, Moore & a 1st round pick to Toronto for Amir Johnson and Jamal Magloire?  Would Toronto?

As of now, the biggest surmountable obstacle to the C’s contention hopes is offensive rebounding.  Our defense is contention-worthy already.  Offensively, going off the four factors, we’re top 10 in shooting efficiency with room for internal improvement (mainly from Bass) and we’re okay at getting to the charity stripe, but we’re hopelessly turnover-prone and terrible on the offensive boards.   As foul-drawing machines are probably out of our price range and the turnovers seems to be a systemic problem (we were just as bad in our championship season), offensive rebounding strikes me as the only area with room for reasonable improvement through trade.

Amir Johnson is one of the league's best offensive rebounders.  Though he'd represent a downgrade in post defense from JO, I'd consider him a better fit for the team's needs.

We were the 7th best offensive rebounding team in 08/09 and an average one the year before.  I think the personnel (swapping Powe for Rasheed in 09/10, missing Perk for most of 10/11) has played more of a role than the system.

Very poor -- has good physical tools though. Seems like a good young man who is coach-able. Could improve in a better situation than Sacramento but probably not quickly enough as a mid-season acquisition to be where you want him to be in time for the playoffs.

In our two most successful seasons, '07-'08 and '09-'10, we were pretty poor on the offensive glass.  I don't think offensive rebounding is as big a factor as HoopsData does.

I think DA is waiting on KAman to be bought out.. if that doesn't fall thru, JT  would be a nice alternative.. Maybe Bradley or Stiemsma + 2nd rd picks?
