Although he isnt really, Jack has "looked" as good as rondo this year.  Gordon is a borderline all star, and Kaman is as well when healthy. Dooling is a player you can find anytime, JJJ is unproven, JO is done, and Rondo is a player they didnt want when we tried to give him for CP.  No reason for the hornets to even consider that deal.

No reason for the C's to give away two firsts--a chunk of their future--for Kaman.

Kaman is good but not for Rondo,JJ who may be a really nice player in a couple years, and 2 first round picks in a really good draft.

I get the win now mentality, but Im not sure trading him for Rondo will do that, and then you don't have anything to rebuild with next year.

Why do the Hornets want to swap Gordon for Rondo when they opted to trade CP for Gordon over Rondo?

I'm not saying its not a fair deal, but its a trade I'm pretty sure the Hornets are not interested in.

I don't get the point of this trade. I would think that getting Kaman would be a move for now, but the move is hurting our chances now at the guard position. The move is far too disruptive to help us now.

Gordon is also most like to get overpaid on next contract (a la Joe Johnson or Rudy Gay).

Eric Gordon is turning 24 this year.  NOLA ain't trading him and Kaman away for a couple of 1st round picks that look like they'll be in the early to mid 20s.  And I can't think there's any way Ainge trades Rondo and the 2 1st round picks for anything less than a superstar like Deron Williams or Howard.  However, JO, Dooling, JJJ and the two picks is probably as good as anything they'll be offered for Kaman.  I can't say I'm a huge fan of the idea.

I'll trade for Kaman if we can move JO and a pick

the only thing though is I don't want to deal with trading with NO anymore it's just ridiculous after the whole Chris paul and Brandon bass situations

I suspect that the league won't intervene as much in a Kaman deal. Kaman is not going to upset the balance of power. The Paul trade was one with long term implications, moving another all-NBA player to a top market team.

And to be fair, Stern seemed to have correctly gauged Paul's value because the Clips were willing to make the eventual deal.

I find it hard to disagree with this approach. Danny's earlier point was that if we don't get it going, he would consider moves. We seem to be getting in gear.

I'm actually not sure if I would move JO for Kaman and a pick.
