What an amazing story. Watched him play tonight, he has the instincts of a pure point guard. Very much reminds me of Nash in that regard. Hey Danny, this kid was in your back yard for 4 years, and he did not even get an invite to camp? Sure wish we had him instead of Bradley as our back up PG.

I dont...he still cant play D.

Wall almost doubled his season average.

We actually have some decent scoring options off the bench now.

I love having a dominant defensive player like Bradley on the bench.

Can't play D, Yup, that didn't stop Nash from winning 2 MVP's

This league is all about someone who can score 20 plus a night and dish at least 6 assist a game and your sold...and if you do it on a consistent basis, the league will take notice and treat you like a star.

If Lin can do this stuff in a big market like NY, then the sky is the limit. at his current level of play the Knicks would laugh at the thought of a trade between Bradley and Lin, and that my friend is how overrated offense is vs defense.  Besides, Lin seems like a decent defender as well, not great but passable, unlike Bradley's offense.

We haven't seen Lin's offense against a team that actually PLAYS defense yet, so let's hold off on calling him a star. Even against the mediocre teams, he turns the ball over a lot, can't use his left hand/go left (seriously, he pulls the SAME move to go right almost every time, a decent defender should lock that down), and gets lost on defensive rotations (though he's not terrible at D). Just from watching his game he looks like someone could will get shut down by even a decent defensive squad; the real test of whether he is a star is whether he will be able to adapt and keep putting up 20/8 against these better teams.

I don't know if anyone said anything about this but

Asia is adding NY games to its tv schedule. Good for the Knicks. Bad for Houston who cut him, who may have lost some Asian market with Yao retiring.

But I guess they have the Spanish market with Scola and the infinitely smaller Lithuanian market (and Polish market if they're really lucky) with Montejunas next year.

I didn't know Lin had 2 college rings and a John Wooden award. How'd we miss this guy?

Ainge drafted for need and used his late second-round pick on the player most likely to help with rebounding if he can crack the rotation, rather than the unathletic tweener guard who seemed physically unable to play shooting guard.  With Nate Robinson on the roster and Bradley being drafted, many on this forum would be complaining if Ainge had taken yet another undersized combo guard instead of gambling on a big man.

I can't exactly articulate why, but watching Lin sort of reminds me of Devin Harris when he played well for New Jersey.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Only watched bits and bobs of this Knicks-Lakers game but Jeremy Lin has been spectacular in the parts that I have seen.

What a story this guy is becoming!  I live in China, and even though he is an American of Chinese descent, the masses are following him, and bringing in yet more Chinese to the throes of NBA fanhood....
