People complain about KG shooting too many jumpers all the time, not going inside. Your complaint was specifically about 3-point shooting.

KG is a better passer and ball-handler than Antoine ever was, and despite not being a great three point shooter, he's a better and more efficient shooter, as well.  Antoine has only had a TS% of over .500 twice in his career; KG has only been *under* .500 once in his career.
