Because Orlando tells us to bite them in every single one of those scenarios?

+1.

Why would they give up both their superstar and their 2nd best player (who is only 23 years old and a big asset) for two late 1st round picks and Rondo (the rest are worthless when you try to rebuild).

Because they can do better. Bynum for Howard is the gold standard, if I'm Orlando I'd rather have Bynum than Rondo. Both great young players but you always go big over small..

Because Boston would need Howard to agree to an extension first

Based on the deals that Denver, Utah, and New Orleans got for Carmelo, Williams, and Paul, Orlando must be expecting more.  I can't say they will get more as the landscape has changed but it seems they would expect more.

Last year Denver and Utah both waited until near the deadline and got better deals.  Look for Orlando to do the same.

Why? Dwight here give us a hell of a chance at a championship, that alone is worth it. And with him here acquired via trade it allows you to keep Ray and KG with bird rights next FA, particularly important if Dwight decides to stay.

I think the biggest problem in all of this is NO and what they're getting for Kaman, doesn't seem like a package they would want for him.

They key is that Orlando isn't getting a solid enough centerpiece player or draft pick in the deal.

They'd rather Bynum or Brook Lopez + better NJ draft pick.
