Saw this, thought it was worth posting:

kurtis, tx: Other than Dwight Howard and possibly Deron Williams, what other players could you see traded before the deadline. Also will Darryl Morey and the Rockets make any moves?

Chad Ford: Well, Chris Kaman looks like he's gone. Gotta believe Pau Gasol will be gone for the right deal. Knicks shopping Amare hard, but his non-insured contract is a major issue. The entire Celtics team is on the block.

I'm guessing this is much like the Chris Paul deal - the Celtics aren't actively searching a deal, but are in a place where they'd pull the trigger on anyone if the right deal came along.

As long as Danny's in town, the entire team will be on the block.

I'd bet it's a liiiiiiiittle farther down the road than that. Seems pretty obvious Ainge is kicking a lot of tires right now.... which hardly comes as a surprise considering he's famous for doing it 24/7.

Was Ford basing this off of a conversation he had with someone when we were well under .500 a week ago?

I'd suggest that Danny will ADD to this roster, not subtract from it.  The "window" is still cracked open.  No way he's trading guys away for nothing.

Sorry, but I'm not impressed with the top teams in the East.  There's not much difference between #1 to #7...  I think Danny knows this....and I think Chad Ford is just making up stuff.

Chad Ford is pretty well connected, and has had a mole in the C's organization.  With that said, he doesn't need a mole to know everyone is available on the C's.  Not only is it common sense, but Danny has said this publically on multiple occasions.

It doesn't mean Danny is trying to blow anything up, or has given up on the season.  It just means that everyone is available for the right price.

In other words, business as usual.

The championship window is barley cracked and safe-lite is on its way to fill the crack. Unless Danny can pull in starting caliber Center (kaman), then I see a small bomb being dropped at the trade deadline. I really dont think he will be able to move kg (unless wiz want him),he will have to get a great deal to move pierce, this leaves ray and rondo. I only see rondo moving for another star pg (nash+gortat for rondo+JO),or (D williams for rondo and JO)both very unlikely. That leaves Ray, I think ray will be moved for a young player or expiring deal and draft pick.

When you're a team with no shot at a title and an aging roster, everybody should be available.....for the right price.

Certainly agree with all this, but I think it should be pointed out that Ainge's trigger finger is likely itchier now than its been since the Big 3 arrived. All GMs are always listening to trade offers. There's a reason why Ford is pointing Ainge out. If he does decide to blow it up, there's going to be a lot of devil in the details between now and March 15, so he's likely prepping for it now in case that's the path he chooses to take.
