Hawaii baby. Do that haka every time.

They do the Haka in Hawaii?

Posers.

Stanford is really the easy choice. Great weather, great tradition, and the nation's last clean program.
There are 4 BCS programs left without a major recruiting violation.

BC
Penn State
Stanford
Northwestern
And one of them has a betting scandal with accusations of roids and the other has a scandal that shall not be named

Duke? Rice?

Whoever delivers a gym bag filled with money to my house and buys my dad a new tractor trailer first.

I'm more Neon then Butch or Ricky.

At 18, I think I would have definitely been more Ricky.  Sell me on the girls (along with some cash and other perks) and you got me.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

IIRC, the thing I heard was from an independent audit organization that found through interviews and analysis of violations, and I quote, "Stanford is the last clean major BCS school in college football."

I'll try and find the piece.

Why not, BYU is has solid competition. Although, you're not allowed to you know what. ANd being a football player, that... could be tough.

haha, I played a lot of rugby over the past 10 years, so understand for me, I worship the Haka.

And unless Hawaii signed a Maori recruit who brought the tradition, I'm just plain angry about it.

i really don't know the history of how it started there. I just thought it's really amazing to do such a thing to inspire everybody to play hard. Plus, it's Hawaii so I sign there.

Although I said Stanford by a mile, I wouldn't exactly call that a clean program as far as recruiting goes. Countless times over the past few years, they've told commits to get lost because they found somebody better - not exactly the most moral thing for a school to do. They claim that the academics weren't in order, but that's just a load of crap - they offered too many kids and wanted someone else.

Here's a prime example:

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/preps/football/story/2012-01-30/recruiting-cautionary-tale/52893378/1

He wasn't accepted to the school, but his academics are certainly in order.

That being said, if I had an offer and was a top recruit, I'd say "screw it" and take the academics, weather, success, etc. every time and head to the farm.

Being from Ohio and living here my whole life the only acceptable answer is Ohio State, and frankly that isn't a bad choice for anyone.  Columbus is a great city to live in, you get to play in front of 100,000+, you have a school with a great history and tradition, a coach with multiple national titles, and it is one of the top 5 schools represented among current NFL players.  Plus it is one of the largest schools in the country and has pretty much any major you can think of to study.

I concur with lots of things you just wrote, except for what I bolded. Columbus is a hole. Also, losing to the SEC every year would be a bummer. ;D
Columbus is a growing city with a few very nice downtown entertainment spots.  The school itself is massive and you would never have to leave campus if you didn't want to.  Weather is certainly more a factor than some places, but it isn't like it is Buffalo or even Cleveland in the winter weather department.

Ohio State is 1 for its last 1 against the SEC, doesn't really matter to me that the win doesn't count, everyone knows it happened.
