Statistically in terms of defense he is better per possession than Greg.  I don't think he is very good though.  Greg for Erden might work.   Greg blocks shots but that is the extent of his D.  However, neither of these guys are going to make you forget Bill Russell.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
Ah those days of having...

Shaq, Perkins, JO and Erden at the Center position.

<sigh>

Fond memories for a bit there.

From depth at Center to barely having a center in just 12 months.

<sigh>

I like the kid but we can find much better reserve options... I take JO and Wilcox over Semih any and every day of the week.

But I'd take Wilcox at $3M and Semih at $750K as the 2nd string front line, with Steimsma in the Greg Kite role before I'd keep Bass for $4.5 next year.

But I'd keep all of them plus Bass at $4.5M next year as a nice roster supporting Rondo, Howard, and Pierce.  Add Jeff Green to the mix...and perhaps one of the current rookies, Brandley, and the two picks prove rotation worthy next season...

I guess for cheap money, these guys are all great players to have around.
