Don't know what you guys are talking about, there was plenty of ball movement and plenty of energy. Problem was that at the 4 minute mark Doc and the rest of the team thought the game was in the bag. The starters pretty much shut themselves down, but the Cavs made a quick run against our bench and suddenly we our starters weren't mentally prepared to stop the momentum.

And of course, the refs sucked during the stretch. And let's not forget all the dumb turnovers of which Ray only had 1 of.

And let's not forget that we shot 52% from the field. And let's not forget 21 assists in 36 baskets.

Drawing connections for this loss with the return of Ray is just ridiculous, particularly when we were up 10 or so with 4 minutes to go.

Did anyone else notice on that final shot by Irving that Ray just stood there and watched instead of take 1-step over and help defend?  I'm certainly not going to lambast the guy over one play, but his lack of defense at times is frustrating.

I think its healthy that we finally have bench players (like Pietrus, etc) that we have confidence in.

told yall what would happen when ray comes back, no more ball movement no more energy everyone else would play slowly. and of course ray will shoot great he's a great shooter one of the greatest, but this team looks old with him in the starting line up.
The ball movement was there somewhat, the energy not as much. Ray needs to come off the bench. I dont see how Doc cant see that and I think he will.

agreed

I did think the team was a lot slower, and the other team was a lot faster, and that mattered. I definitely think in games like that it makes sense to have Ray come off the bench.

We have to play different in track meets

How do people find ways to blame ray allen after games like this?

I think its time for ray to be dealt in terms of this forum because he can't anything right if they lose now

Ray went 9/14 tonight for 22 points and posted a +2. The Celtics made some pretty bad mistakes tonight down the stretch, and had to match Avery Bradley up with Kyrie Irving. That's hardly Ray's fault.

Were we watching same match? I thought ray was fantastic. I can probably blame 4 or 5 other guys for loss. Bradley got smoked by Irving all game long. Pierce was turnover machine. KG yet again was soft around the rim. Bass doing big Baby impersonation coming up small on the glass. there 4guys who had a lot more to do with loss than Ray.

Because they were winning without him, then he touched the court and the team looked slow and lost.   Defense isn't outscoring your man.

Dude, im not blaming ray. The fact is, the last 4 games our defense and energy has been great right out the gate (except for the 2nd orlando game). Ray had a good game. Im not saying demote ray, but Pietrus or Bradley should start the game to bring that defense initially. Its the same deal in OKC with Sefalosha and Harden.

Correlation does not imply causation. Having Ray on the court did not suddenly make Pierce turn the ball over 7 times tonight.

didn't get to see it, but sounds like we would have won if Rondo had been in there.
