Mo is still a starting point guard in this league & has proven so when Chris Paul went down. His value will be much needed for this Celtics team. Who could come up with a trade idea to get Mo Williams & Al Jefferson?

No way do I want that Cavs reject on the C's.  Rondo has consistently dominated him throughout his career.   Why would we do this?

Mo Williams' nickname should be Mr. Ebons. Don't understand? Join the Celticsblog Pick 2 draft and find out!

Trading away Rondo for any player who isn't as good or better then he is would be counter productive and Mo Williams isn't even close to as good as Rondo is.

You almost need three All-Star level players to truly and consistently contend in the NBA. Going forward we have one player at that level and that is Rondo.

Pierce is still an all-star in this league.  I don't know for how many more years, but I think the past few game shows he's still go it.

BTW the OP proposed Rondo for Mo and Big Al; not a straight up swap just for Mo only.  I don't think the bigger trade is really feasible as the C's would need to give up many more pieces.

Only if they somehow have another 2 or 3 unprotected 2012 first rounders they'd like to give us to match with their other pick.

Williams is solid but unspecatacular and paid a lot more than he should have been paid.  He's a starting point guard on a late seed playoff team but will never carry a contender.

There you go.  Adjust draft picks and cash as necessary.  I wouldn't do this one, but it fits your criteria.

After we trade Rondo for Mo Williams could we then deal Pierce to the Heat for James Jones and Ray Allen to the Lakers for Derek Fisher?

I know that but he played for the Cavs too did he not?  They traded him therefore he is a reject of theirs, no?

Actually he didn't specifically propose anything.  he just asked others to come up with a way to replace our all-star, top-5 PG with a scrub that I wouldn't hire to clean the TD Garden men's rooms.

There are a handful of players that should never get mentioned on this blog as coming to the Celts and you might have chosen the #1. This can't go well....
