Why would the Celtics do that deal with Portland? Why would the Clippers give up that much for Pierce. As someone else already said, don't we already have the Clippers pick?

Portland does for a long term answer at PG.
Clippers are really only giving up Bledsoe and Thompkins the other 2 really don't play. 1 contract expires next year and the other expires the following year.

We get younger- 2 PGs, 1 SG, 1 SF and 1 PF plus 2 draft picks this year and 1 future from Clips
