Pierce in a LA LAKER uniform :o    OMG

For a die hard Celtic fan like me.... that would be like the Pope suddenly becomming anti- Catholic

Trade him yes ...but NEVER NEVER to LA.....not direct

I mean,..............there has to be a "statue" on the Boston City Law books that forbids this type of reckless action.

Trade everything for Love..... but not to LA to get him ...NO WAY
Seeing one of the Celtics' all-time greats win championships and finish his career with the LA Lakers is nothing short of Blasphemy!

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Don't wanna help the Lakers get to 17 titles and be tied with us.
Yeah, that's almost assuring a championship for the LA Losers...

1.Bynum gets injured
2.KG and Ray don't resign, therefore D-Will and Smith won't.(The C's without KG and Ray in this situation would be just like the Nets - Lopez/Bynum)

Those are my top 2 problems with this trade. D-Will is a long shot, and Smith not too far from the same position. The moment Bynum gets injured, we would rue the day and hate Danny forever and ever and ever.
I like Marcus Smart

If there was a proposed trade that involved Pierce to LA, Gasol to Minnesota, and Kevin Love (with extension) to Boston, plus the Celtics coughing up one or more first round picks in there and maybe some shuffling around of minor players, with a second trade centering around Bynum to Orlando for Dwight Howard contingent on the three-way trade going through, is there enough meat there for you to want Ainge to explore the possibility or would you want him to reject the idea immediately because it involves trading Pierce and/or helps the Lakers?

We get Kevin Love?  I'd  probably do it.

The Lakers get Howard and Pierce which would kind of suck but Pierce gets to finish his career in front of his family.  Still in two years Howard is right back where he started, with no supporting cast because Kobe and Pierce have either retired or are at least greatly diminished.  Howard cannot carry a team so LA needs lot of help while we get one of the best young players in the NBA entering his prime.  Rondo and Love would certainly be attractive enough to draw a 3rd star player.

I don't want to see Pierce traded but if the offer is good enough Ainge should take it.  Pierce will always be a Celtic.  Does anybody consider Joe Montana a Kansas City Chief or Jo Jo White a Warrior?   This idea that he absolutely retire a Celtic is okay for fans to have but irresponsible for someone running an organization.

I would seriously think of loading up my rifle and heading to Boston if Danny gave LA number 17.  This trade helps LA not us.

  • Thank you Eddie!
I'd rather trade Rondo and Ray Allen to the Heat for a bag of basketballs and a 2038 1st round pick than trade Pierce to the Lakers, even if they offer us Bynum and the rights to Jack Nicholson.

lol...no thanks. This just sounds like more NBA drama, to me.

Some LA fans won't let "The Wheelchair" go. And some still think KG is a scumbag or whatever.

This just seems wrong on so many levels.......next we'll see Kurt Rambis and Kevin McHale having dinner together.

TP x 1000!!!

If you do, I'd have no problem providing the back-up.  I got a Smith & Wesson 500 magnum 5 shot revolver and a Mossberg 10 Ga. that would blow a softball sized hole in a moose.

Danny, you better.... RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! 8)
