Why was Glen Davis suspended? He exchanged words with SVG and then slammed a door so hard that it destroyed a wall. Door was stuck in wall.

Glen Davis will meet with Stan Van Gundy and Otis Smith tomorrow, according to @SpearsNBAYahoo. He's expected to play vs. L.A. Clippers.

Not to defend Baby's behavior, but has any coach had a worse relationship with his players without getting fired than SVG?

Da Baby will come out of the block after his spanking , and play like 6 th man of the year against the Clips.  probally have 20 points and 8 boards. ..... then after about 5 game a steady dropoff of energy, and increased trips to Burger KIng .....history repeats once again. ;)

Can you guys remember that people used to think he was good? I remember last year people on this forum tried to defend him and kept saying "he was in the running for 6th man of the year!" because he had one decent month of basketball at the very beginning of the season.

The green goggles can screw with ya.

I think Van Gundy will be gone with Howards approval and his coach of choice as last ditch effort to get him to stay.  Then when he doesn't Otis will get canned as well

He was in the running for the 6th man of the year, the way he played on the back end of our 2010 season, and in the playoffs, followed up by the first half of last season, he played terrific ball for us, bought in to the whole team concept, and gave us exactly what we needed.

I think being on a contract year really screwed with his head that second half of the season/playoffs, he was trying to do wayyyyyyy too much rather than just keeping it simple, and it seriously hurt his value/our chances.

We shouldn't sell him short though, when he was on his game, he was a perfect fit for us, he just got too big for his boots.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Brandon Bass trade, worked out absolutely perfect for us!  I am just saying that we shouldn't forget the good things Baby did do for us as well, as I know I have at times too.

I do think that the performance of Davis in the second half of last season was somewhat predictable.  I don't think it was an aberration due to being in a contract year.  He was inconsistent, but inconsistent players can still be useful, but I really do feel that Ainge was desperate to find a replacement for Davis in the crunch time lineup and was hoping Jeff Green could be that guy.

so, basically lebron version 2? i think you are on target here to be honest.

as for big baby, sorry to hear about his behavior. he has some good games for the celtics and i hoped he would be better.

but now, i think ainge was a genius to get bass for BB davis.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.
