I am willing to accept applications for Co-GMs. It is a serious process as you have to be able to answer questions such as:
1. Who is the greatest player in Winnipeg Jets History?
2. Pierre Trudeau, Great PM or total disaster?
3. David Lee Roth or Sammy Hagar?
4. Where is Winnipeg?

1.  Teemu Selanne
2.  Disaster  (I at first read this s Pierre Trudeau, GM, which was confusing.  But, he would have sucked as a GM, too.)
3.  David Lee Roth
4.  Somewhere in the arctic, surrounded by polar bears.

I'm in!

My guess is that IP just missed your post.  Teams haven't been assigned or finalized yet.

EDIT:  Actually, your name is on the "rookies to be considered" list, so I'm sure you'll get a team if you respond to IP's message acknowledging the rules (when he sends it)

1. Selanne was my first choice, but then I remembered Dale Hawerchuk.
2. Disaster.
3. Neither. Geddy Lee.
4. Somewhere west of that den of separatist vipers they call Quebec.

Just a concern of mine: Are ALL teams going to be assigned? I have a small concern that if someone gets assigned CHA or TOR they MAY be at a disadvantage.

I think one thing to emphasize is that there's no real "advantage" or "disadvantage", because this is all for fun.  There's no voting, or grading, or judging.  There might be some debating, but that's all based upon the curve of where you start versus where you end up.

So, if you get a bad franchise, don't sweat it.  Just try to put together a team that you think compares favorably to the real Bobcats, and you'll be doing well.

Good point, thx Roy and IP.

1. Blake Wheeler. Duh.
2. Greatest PM. Duh.
3. Can't even joke, shouldn't even be a question. Lee Roth.
4. Northern Montana. Duh.

1. Winnipeg, really?  They don't even qualify for a greatest player.
2. how about 'great disaster'?
3. tough call for me.  liked Van Hagar in concert better than the recent Halen tour.  Hagar also never put out cover tunes and Roth lived on them -- Diver Down anyone?  Roth did let Eddie get raw with the guitar which is what makes him great.
4. Winnipeg is in a colder location than where I am now.

Dear Slamtheking,

We are sorry that your application did not meet our standards for our Co-GM position. Hawerchuk, Hull or Selanne would all be accepted for #1. Do not mess with the Jets. We wish you luck in all future GMing endevours.

Roy, you were so close 1a. I would be proud to hire Lucky, you or Nick. Except you all have teams. Nice polar bear shots. Ahh the Thunder and former Mav, JJ Eubanks.  ;D
