Just curious, went to TIQIQ today and then saw highlights tonight, was it me or are there a lot of empty seats?

Know it's been a rough start, but still, people are bailing THAT quickly?  TiqIq had seats starting in the 20s, meantime no Bruins game has seats close to that cheap.

Which brings up my next point, are the C's getting good ratings/radio talk or have the slipped behind the Bruins?
Be said if they did.

Combination of two things. A bad start by the Celtics and a horrible opponent tonight.

That would be sad...and telling.

If I lived near Boston, I'd love to go to a Celtics game - even now. Never been to one.

No matter how they've looked so far, the team as we know it probably won't look like this next year.

Sometimes we don't miss a good thing until it's gone.

The box score say 18,624 were in attendance. If so thats full capacity for NBA games.

I just went on TIQIQ and tickets are really, really cheap, WAY more so than the Bruins.

I also have noticed empty seats.
Is this for real?
Did Boston ditch the Celtics after four years of greatness THAT quickly?

I mean, we will always be behind the Pats and the Red Sox.  Then the C's and B's always flip flop between 3rd and 4th based on who is playing well.  The Bruins won the cup last year and have been playing great recently, right now, it's their time at #3.
do it

Tickets have been hard to resell this year.  There have been a lot of empty seats compared to recent games.

Maybe I can finally see a game at the TD Banknorth Garden without it costing me an arm and a leg.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

There are a lot of games. I am a diehard fan, but I don't want to spend good money to go to a game to be depressed at a bad outcome or to watch a horrible opponent embarrass themselves. I also would not buy $20 seats because I want to be able to see the action clearly on the court, not just on the jumbotron, so I want reasonably close seats when I go.

Red Sox are the clear #4 right now. Though that  will change in about 4 weeks.

I bought loge seats in row F (very close) for the Toronto game for $49 a piece (plus fees) on stubhub.  Sold my (center balcony) season tickets and paid a lil extra to move up to those seats.  It's a move I make occasionally and I never seem to regret.  I typically like to against a crappy team, haha.  It's a great view and a way better feeling to walk out with a W than a L, no matter who the opponent is.  I think I enjoy a game more if we blow out the Raptors than lose to the Heat by 1.

The demand for tickets has dropped off greatly.  The past few years every Friday night game was packed; it did not matter if the opponent was the Bulls or Nets, it was a full house.  This year you find empty seats even on Fridays.  The slow start surely has something to do with it, along with competition from the Bruins (people would rather spend their money on those ticket vs C's tickets).  I'm also wondering whether some fans are protesting over the lockout by not attending games.

As far as the 18,624 sellout number goes that just means the C's moved all the tickets.  Hundreds if not thousands were sold to ticket brokers who are stuck with inventory, but from the C's vantage point they already sold the ticket.  Also the C's always keep an inventory of tickets for employees or promotional issues.  They effectively buyout all those tickets whether they actually get sold/used or not.

Go to ticketmaster right now.  Single seats by themselves in the last row of the balcony are $108.  That is why there are empty seats.

Ya know, on TV, I see a lot of empty seats.
On TIQIQ, prices are dirt cheap.

I am outraged at how it seems Boston is either a racist town which dislikes the NBA or is such a fickle town that a slow start after 4 straight divison crowns, 17 titles, and greta play...they would jump off the bandwagon THAT fast.

Are Boston fans that fickle or are they just not very loyal tot he NBA?
I don't get, tickets being that easy after a slow start?
