  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Last year, he was known as THE rebounder. The best the NBA has to offer. Now, he's averaging 25 PPG, among 3 pointers made, and how many 30 point games has he had? Not to mention he's a great passer.

What are the odds that Kevin Love is going to be MVP or something one day? I have high hopes for this guy.

MVP..no chance

hes a good player, he plays absolutely no defense, and even if he tryed he still would be bad in that area

Him being the number 1 option will never be on a good team so he has no shot at an mvp in my opinion

Hes a good 2a or 2b player though

Great passer? I haven't heard people saying that. I haven't noticed that. Seems average to me. Maybe I need to watch him more.

he's got a reputation as a very good outlet passer, I know that for sure.

he's got a reputation as a very good outlet passer, I know that for sure.
Simmons has been talking about his outlet passes since the guy was in College.

I think K.Love is one of those guys a lot like Andrea Bargnani who is a pretty skilled passer but doesn't utilize his talents often enough.

Like Andrea, he spends a little too much time behind the arc in non-threatening passing zones and is a little shot happy with those long range shots even when he does catch the ball out there. Needs to move inwards a little bit (high post instead of beyond three point line) and take up better positions to utilize his passing skills.

Hopefully, Rick Adelman will change that and get more out of Love. He (Adelman) has certainly stated that he wants Love to be a 5 assist a night type big man. Like Webber or Vlade were. That he feels Love has that type of ability (after watching him in high school).

I've been impressed with Love's development this off-season.

Losing that weight has helped him on both ends of the court. More mobile defensively and more quickness in shot-creation offensively.

His game has really come along nicely.

And despite adding some solid pieces this offseason, Love's development hasn't translated into wins. Draw your own conclusions.

Have you watched the T-Wolves?  They've been competitive in almost every game they've played.  They're a much better team; a big part of that is adding Rubio, but part of that can be attributed to Love playing even better.

take a look at the numbers they're getting from Wes Johnson and Beasley (two extremely inefficient players), and take a look at who they have playing beside Love in the front court.

the T-Wolves right now are essentially Ricky Rubio, a couple of decent scoring point guards (Ridnour, Barea), Kevin Love, and a talented but inexperienced back-up hybrid 3/4.  that they are competing against any half-decent teams is remarkable.

No defense? Dirk and Nash combined for MVPs, who are about as bad as they come defensively at their positions.

MVP is stupid anyway. Kind of an overrated award IMO

He should be our #1 target this off-season.  He won't committ to Minnesota.  I know other teams will have CAP Space but we are an option for him

i agree that he's probably best playing a Pau Gasol-type role.  however, i think it's completely unfair to say that he plays no defense whatsoever.  i think he does his best with the physical tools he has, especially considering he desperately needs a partner in the frontcourt who will have his back defensively, and he doesn't.

Actually last year they won 20% of their games, this year they are at 37%, so they have improved.

This is the NBA.  Players have the power.  If he tells Minnesota he doesn't want to be there, they won't match the offer or they will work out a sign and trade
