I actually think with our group of veterans, new bench players and the crazy nba schedule this season it is going to take some time for more than just the celtics to mesh.  Many teams in the league have looked good one night and then the next game lost to a far worse team.  However in watching the celtics for the 10 odd games so far I find no reason that Jermaine ONeil is our starting center.  Coupled with the fact that Stiemsma played 3 minutes last night  ??? .
I can understand Docs idea to get wilcox minutes to become acclimated because of his injury but in my eyes Greg has outplayed wilcox & jermaine pretty easily.  Yes he needs to work on defensive rotations and low post posistioning.  He has shown GREAT footwork, good rebounding and range that is kg like.
I don't think he's the answer but I think his mobility on both offense & defense can only help the team.  His shot blocking would help KG's defense.  I am not an overreact guy and don't want to blow up team, trade pp, hate rondo etc.  Just seems like a simple move to make.
Someone who is smart enough put up a voter thing on this topic please.

Low post positioning is the huge issue.

I think he's got enough size and weight, it's just a matter of strength and technique.  I'm imagining Brian Doo can get him in better shape as far as strength goes by next season.  Where's Clifford Ray when you need him for a little coaching?

But I agree, play the kid.

no, we need to give JO plenty of playing time
that's how he can burn out the kinks.

no they don't ok he gets killed on rebounds every [dang] time we play an elite teams the man knees won't allow him to jump anymore

stiemsma can bring that youth energy block shots but if he can focus more on rebounding more often he will be hard to stop
