Give all the rational reasons you like for this start. The C's may still get their act together, develop some chemistry with the bench and get better play, etc. but the Celtics are just not a good team right now. They look Mediocre at best, and even that might be a generous, induced by Green-Filled-Kool-Aid-Beer-Goggles-Celtics-Fan-Perspective. The C's started 9-0, 8-1 or 7-2 the last 4 years though 9 games. 4-5 are 3 Wins worst than the worst start since the recent Big 3 era. C's have 4 days of rest and practice, the most time they will get all season and can't beat the equally struggling, equally aged, Mavs who just played the night before and should be exhausted themselves at the Boston Garden? I don't give a [dang] about reasons. I want to see wins against more than just the 2W-9L New Jerseys, 1W-9L Washingtons, 2W-8L Detroits... Yeah, yeah, some/many C's fans on this board will jump to "over-reaction" conclusion right away without reading my overview of the 9-Game Body of Work by the C's so far this season. I'm not just talking about 1-game here. 9 Games! 1/7th of the shortened-season.
What I saw from this game was the starting line-up, minus Rajon Rondo who was wonderful, driving to the hoop tonight, was playing old as heck which shouldn't happen after not playing a game last 4 days. The bench actually contributed this game but definately need more reps to build chemistry as most players just exchanged numbers a month ago.
