I have been pretty down on Miller's color commentary in the past, but I really enjoy the discussions between Barkley and Miller during the Heat-Hawks game. They both actually sound more intelligent when they argue and there are less cliche throw away comments.

I like their brutal honesty concerning the Hawks. The NBA needs more announcers like them. Especially on the watered down ESPN broadcasts.

I agree, Barkley just said Hawks are role players and not superstars.

I can't belive Atlanta can destroy the Heat with Wade and James MIA.....  >:(

Miller went so far as to call the Hawks a dumb team.

I don't think Miller is that bold without the p---ing contest with Barkley. Good stuff. Barkley is such a clown that it is easy to forget how high is bball IQ is.

This, and it's why I enjoy Barkley so much.  I enjoy his brand of humor, and I also appreciate the knowledge that he brings.

And I also agree that he's making Miller a little more tolerable than usual tonight.

I loved what Barkley said about Bosh. He's a good player but he's not a great player. He's a complimentary player. He'll only ever be "the guy" on a bad team because on bad teams somebody HAS to take the shots.

I think Reggie isn't honest more often because he still has that image as a good guy. Barkley doesn't really care what people think so he can speak his mind more.

Is this going to be a regular thing or is this just because the game was in Atlanta and that's where the TNT studios are.

Barkely probably makes boo-coo bucks as a TNT analyst but if he was a national color guy, I think he could get bigger than Madden was in football.

EASports could revamp their video game and call it "Barkley 2012".

I would love to watch a game with Barkley and Kenny Smith doing color. They should have them do the finals.

Barkley is hilarious for his jumbled pronunciation alone

"Darrell Author..."

Favorite Charles quote of the night- "I want my attorney to come from princeton, not basketball plays".
In response to Reggie saying how the Hawks offense is based on the Princeton basketball team's offense.

lol that had me dyin. Anybody remember when barkley called the hawks stiffs? I was laughing so hard. I agree with whoever said barkley brought out the best in Miller even though I guess I'm one of the few who enjoy's reggie's commentary anyway. Great dynamic there between the 2. I would take that pair over jeff van dummy and mark jackson everyday of the week and 4 times sunday

I'm watching it now and I really enjoy it as well.  They call the game just like an intelligent player would.  I like JVG and Hubie but they calls it too much like a coach.  I like it and feel like I've learned a bit from them, but I think I like Chuck and Reggie better.  Chuck really brings out the best in Reggie.
