I have been pretty down on Miller's color commentary in the past, but I really enjoy the discussions between Barkley and Miller during the Heat-Hawks game. They both actually sound more intelligent when they argue and there are less cliche throw away comments.

I watched the game but unfortunately was visiting with relatives and couldnt hear the commentary. Ive never been a fan of Miller but Ive always loved barkley. Would like to get the chance to listen to them again at some point.

I don't remember watching a game with so many laughs. I forgot just how smart Barkley is until I listened to the whole game broadcast. I don't think that comes across as much when he's in the studio. He even commented on a lot of other sports and sounded like he knew what he was talking about. Very, very intelligent.

They goofed up though at one point when they thought it was a commercial break. It's actually pretty funny.

That's not what he said.

He said that the fact that he was getting millions of dollars for losing two pounds a week was a scam. Which it is. you can lose two pounds a week by just eating healthier and cutting out fatty foods.

Which, is essentially what weight watchers teaches you to do. Watch what you eat. He wasn't saying that the program itself is a scam, just that him getting millions of dollars for in essence not getting his big mac meal super sized was a scam.

Now, will WW fire him anyway? mabey, it still doesn't look good for there product. But how anyone watching that clip can say "barkley said WW is a scam!!!" is beyond me.

What he said was "its a scam that i get millions to tell these fat slobs what they already know. eat a salad."

The thing that I took from that video clip was Reggie's CERTAINTY that no matter what the Hawks offered Orlando wouldn't make a difference because Howard wouldn't go there. This confirms my opinion that the Celtics have zero shot at landing Howard, it doesn't matter how much money they will have available. He wants certain markets and that's it.

Yeah... I also gathered that.  But I don't think Reggie is any more privy to that kind of information than Chuck is... and if he was, they would probably have discussed it off the set at some point.  That leads me to think it was more opinion.

It just came to me after watching that clip.

Chuck has been talking about losing weight for years on his TNT show (remember the wiehg ins? lol).

He never lost weight until a company literally paid him to do it!
He's right...that is a scam! Chuck is brilliant and I hope he continues to do color work...he is really good at it.

ahh gotcha. That would've been pretty funny though if he thought he wasn't on air and he said that
