FROM THE DEEPS, THE SMALL SAMPLE SIZE KRAKEN EMERGES.

Fair enough.

61% for his career qualifies for similar judgment IMO.  Nothing new.  Just magnified by the other night.  Frustrates me to no end.

I edited my post, so our final title would be 'Sucky Rondo's Sucky Free Throw Shooting Still Sucks and Stuff.'

I like it.   :D

Can we close this thread and start a new one?

Why?

It's a legitimate argument to resurrect.  I don't see the harm in it.

Rondo is shooting a wicked bad 30% - that's right 30% from the free throw line this year!!!

30%

Count me among those surprised that Rondo hasn't improved.

I really expected that this would get better and I am only a few delusionary steps away from admitting that he'll never be a 70% FT shooter.

I already believe that Rondo probably spends as much time working on free throw shooting as posters here want him to.

Revisiting this now that Rondo is shooting an even 30% from the line.  I just can't shake how embarrassing this is.  There were audible boos at the Garden the other night as he was clanking away for the brick hat trick to end the game.  If something isn't working why not make some changes?  It just seems unprofessional for a guard to be this poor from the line.

Ridiculous.

Just out of curiosity, how did this thread get resurrected? Did you remember it from a few years back, or did you stumble upon it somehow?

With respect to your post, Rondo's either going to have to live with the boos or do something about it. It's painful that he doesn't shoot them better, just like the shortcomings of the other players are painful to watch when they rear their ugly heads.

I did a search for "Rondo free" suspecting the topic had been brought up before.  The results came back with this and a bunch of threads about Rondo and free agency.  I recycled this thread because I thought it might be interesting to have past opinions for perspective.
Yup

People will be lining up to start a thread with a name like that. Too bad you didn't get some type of copyright protection on it.

The 30% FT shooting by Rondo ranks dead LAST in the NBA
