The 30% FT shooting by Rondo ranks dead LAST in the NBA

At this pace he'll shoot 30% for the season  ;D

On the plus side, at this pace, he'll be the only player to average over 8 rebounds and 11 assists a game in 50 years.

After a great start in the first game, 7-8, he has now regressed and is shooting 59 percent from the line, 22-37. The good news is he is going to the line a lot more, as it took him 14-15 games to get to 37 free throws last year. The bad news is he still cannot make them.

However, I accept that he will never be a good free throw shooter. It could hurt the Celtics at some point, but the rest of his game is so good, I am going to try to stop complaining about his poor free throw shooting.
I like Rondo a lot but his FT shooting is one thing I won't accept him doing poorly at.  it's something completely within his ability to improve.  he's not being guarded when he shoots.  he's not on the move.  the distance doesn't change.   no reason he shouldn't be making at least 70% of those.  he's improved his overall shooting which is a lot more difficult for all the reasons a FT is not

Ever see Rondo, with his off hand, dribble all the way behind his back and continue to dribble with the same hand at full speed when he's on a break? Why not perfect that move next?
For one, it's a generally useless show-off move.

Then, he's palming the ball half of the time, but I guess such technicalities are not important in today's NBA.

What is it with some of the fans here?
