Haha wow. Interesting development. With the right coach the Kings could be a pretty exciting young team.

Cousins had the last laugh, huh.

Westphal got sent home too.

Kings are a complete mess.  I really hope the reasons behind this are bigger than the Cousins thing, because I don't see Cousins getting along with any professional coach at this point.

Good Paul Westphal had done a terrible job there. I hate the timing of it from the perspective of emboldening Cousins immaturity but it needed to be done.

What if DeMarcus somehow became player/coach a la Bill Russell?  :P

Coach v. Highly priced young talent.

Player wins that battle 95% of the time.

I like Westphal, but he's not a great fit for that group of talent.

I don't like Westphal either, but I'm not sure there's any coach that'll know what to do with this roster. Just so many different styles of play combating negatively.

EDIT:

I'll steal this suggestion from the pick 2 draft

Tyreke Evans for Andre Iguodala and a First.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
It seems a bit ridiculous. I understand that Westphal wasn't a great fit there, but this is honestly the last thing a player like Cousins needs to advance in his career. If he's not careful, he's going to be just another big-headed player who thought he was special, but then was suddenly not. They could have waited a couple of weeks...

Cool, my fantasy team will pick up, and we're no longer at a risk of spending valuable resources on a boneheaded big man who's shooting less than .400 this season :)

And now ALL of the kings problems are solved.

Wait...nope their still a train wreck  ;)
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

This move should have been done long time ago, this guy isnt a NBA coach, not certain if he is a D-League coach either.
