That Brooks kid - WOW!

Danny, please explain why you traded this kid away?  And, for what?

The question is, would the Celtics have picked him had they no plans to trade him to the Nets?

I agree - they said we picked him for the Nets which tells me, NO, we were not going to pick him.  Now I wonder, why not?

Is Danny any good anymore or was he ever?  Maybe he got lucky with Ray and then KG then....  But if you look back over the years, Danny has blown quite a few draft picks.  Maybe he's not as good as I thought he was.

If there was a dislike button I would use it for this post and topic. Seriously, is this a joke saying he got lucky with Ray and KG?

well Brook Lopez, Deron Williams, Humphries is all out who usually are their leading scorers

and now he is injured

not to mention the nets suck so anyone on that team can potentially score, JuJuan Johnson could possibly get a double double on that team

He's averaging 13.7 on a team that is really bad at the moment.  That not a surprise since he is a volume shooter.  Scoring on a bad team has never impressed me much.  Somebody has to score on that team, with Lopez and Williams out of action and he's the guy taking the most shots.

If he came to Boston he'd have trouble seeing the floor because Doc rarely plays rookies who don't defend very well much other then garbage time.

in the second half the celtics paid attention to him and he was shut down. he is a good scorer, but on defense he seemed weak or lost, so doc wouldnt like him very much.

and boy, he does like to shoot from almost anywhere. i give him credit for scoring, but dont see much else. and it doesnt look as if the nets will teach him many fundamentals.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

the jury is still our IMO...Jajuan Johnson hasnt been on the court enough for us to really see how he compares to Marshon brooks..

and theres no real evidence that Brooks would get the minutes/shots to make the type of impact he is having on NJ

That Brooks kid would definitely see time in Boston & woulda been a significant deference maker on offense. Filling in for Pierce & Allen off the bench he would still manage 11-13 pts. From the bench in 22-25 minutes. Daniels time would be cut & Sasha could be cut!

The Celtics win by 20 and the first thought you have is that Danny sucks?

Brooks looked like a heck of a scorer and player in the first half when every Celtic except Avery Bradley was sleep walking through the game. Once the C's started playing actual team and man defense in the third quarter, Brooks went away.

Says a lot about how his game should be judged right now if you ask me.

He does suck at drafting guys! Remember he was gonna draft Yi! Lol But he is good at evaluating talent already in the league, just not talent coming into the league.

What said alot to me is we had to double a rookie the whole second half. That says the kid definitely made a impression on our staff in a good way! Means he is a player worth special attention.
